Finally made my way through to the Bruery, as is my God-given right. Sadly had not made it through on the Grand West Coast Beer Adventure of 2010. I was not to be denied this time. After stopping for interwebbing directions with my packed truck at a Starbucks (the 1st time one of these has ever served me well), I maneuvered into the commercial lot for victory. Once safely around the corner, I stumbled into a room filled with giant stainless tanks and floor to ceiling stacks of barrels.
At attention, I clumsily made my way to the bar and studied the chalky list. It was magnificent. Hottenroth, Cuadrupel, Old Richland, Humulus Lager, Workman's Friend, etc, etc, etc. Great tap list, albeit of all Bruery beers, for it is a tasting room, after all. But it was an excellent list. Place was a little crowded when I got there, and only got more crowded on this Friday as 5:30 came along.
A bbq truck pulled up and saved me from certain damnation and starvation.
I got the privilege of tasting nearly everything on tap and having a few glasses of special stuff. Got to taste the drips from Salt from the Earth, of the Earth, whatever it is, as they had opened a bottle to taste earlier in the day.
Very friendly bartenders, willing to share knowledge and information about the place. Attempting to remember the gentleman's name at this point is useless, but thank you sir.
Much appreciation for such a lovely time on what may be my only trip to The Bruery for several years.
