I was pretty pumped to return here after four years and see this new tasting room I kept hearing about. As soon as I opened the door I was blasted with a wall of noise from all of the people packed into the medium-small space. Atmosphere was solid I guess. Every single seat in the place is filled, people are standing at every available counter and enjoying their beers. Service was a bit up and down. I got lucky and the line died right as I wanted to get my beers so I didn't have any wait. The bartender was pretty nice and talked to me for a minute or so before someone else came up to order another beer. I found a small sliver of area right where people fill out their flight menus and made sure I left plenty of room for them, I guess that wasn't enough room for one of the other bartenders because he about ran over to me to tell me to move over. I moved the three extra inches over and that was apparently enough for him to leave me alone for then on. Quality was solid for everything I tried. Selection was huge, as it should be at a brewery that makes this many beers. I got a sampler so I got to try five of them, most were just ok but I did really like the one. Decided to leave after that as it was becoming even more packed, I am hoping to return again before we move on to give it a more detailed look. Prices were a touch high on some of the beers but they tended to be some of the more labor intensive ones so I can kind of understand that. Overall I still love the place, I hope we can stop in again in the coming days.

Service only gets a 3.5 because the place is too small. It's always busy and they could easily fill a room 3 times as big.

Amazing selection, tons of beer on tap. Always a food truck parked outside.

While there is no doubt The Bruery produces a bevy of world class beers the somewhat pretentious vibe and reserve society program diminishes some of what I love about the microbrewery renaissance. What about the beer lover that travels to SoCal with The Bruery as a destination - are they supposed to join the Reserve Society to access special beers for one evening?

That being said, the broad range of beers available makes this a must stop for beer lovers. Almost any evening you will need to get in line to order, but this gives you time to peruse the draft list and pick 5 brews to sample. Note that some of these beers will almost certainly be available only at the tap room. In short a life list stop but not an especially cool place to hang.
