This place is a hidden gem and it shouldn't be. Jill keeps I think the best selection of Michigan breweries I have ever seen anywhere around the area. Not only does she have 6pks and harder to find 22oz bottles but also has a mix a six selection which had a ton of beers I had been dying to try. The pricing is on par with what I thought it was going to be which was a good thing. One thing I noticed about Michigan is the beer prices seem to vary a lot and her's were on the lower end. A lot more people need to swing into this place and they will be impressed. Although, I don't mind keeping this place a secret...it just means more for me!

Jill keeps an incredible selection of Michigan brews - Short's, Bell's, Founders - as well as many, many others from other states. Excellent selection and very reasonable prices. It is nice to be able to buy KBS any time of the year. She has The Oracle, Nemesis and many others well after everyone else had sold out. Super nice service and cool setup. Please don't shop there so that I can buy all of the beers I want whenever I want. They have a very good selection of wine. Buy all of that you want.

Just stopped in to the Wine Shop at the Acorn for the first time yesterday despite living three minutes away and I have to say I was very impressed. It's a pretty small place but the space is used very well. They mostly carry brews that are hard to get anywhere else in southwest Michigan. Good selection of Michigan brews as well as out-of-states, with some pretty rare finds. Their best deal is the build your own six pack for 11 dollars. Many of the singles run 2-4 dollars elsewhere. The woman who runs it is incredibly helpful and very nice, definitely knows her beer. She's only there weekends but the shop itself is open whenever the theatre is. Unfortunately because of the size they don't have a lot of the staple Michigan brews but this is without a doubt the place to go if you're looking for something special. Worth the stop if you're in the area.
