Poured into tasting glass from the tap
Color is a very dark black, with a foamy light brown head.
The smell is of roasted coffee beans and a slight dark chocolate flavor.
The taste is a coffee flavor, is a bit of a cappuccino flavor with hint of hazelnut.
This beer was a surprise for me. I am not a fan of coffee and have not liked a coffee flavored stout before. This beer being more in the flavor of a cappuccino was what won me over. This beer would be great in the morning as well as in the evening. Would go well with a doughnut or two as well.
