Opened on 10/6/18 in Idaho after years of aging. Great imperial pumpkin offering by 10 Barrel. Look is hazy amber orange with little head. Smell is heavy on pumpkin and a little alcohol. Feel is silky and thick. Taste is lots of pumpkin, spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, a little black pepper and alcohol. Again this is an aged version so I wish I would've tasted it when I got it. But this is still a good one. It's still hard to beat Elysian's Great Pumpkin, Schlafly's Pumpkin Ale and Southern Tier's Pumking.

On tap at Boise brewery. This is a pumpkin beer, plain and simple. Nothing really stands out from the style, but it does hide its ABV well. Good, but not great.

Bottle picked up at the brewery a few days ago.. Enjoyed tonight from my Funkfest goblet... Hazy orange brew with a thin and short lived head.
Nose show traditional spices but also has plenty of gourd... Allspice is in my mind the big player with nutmeg and then a warming cinnamon..
Flavor pretty much mirrors the nose with a lingering allspice essence on the finish.. pumpkin flesh really does shine through but even giving the judicious hand, is pummeled back by the pie spice.
Good body and carbonation...
I dig this one for a pretty standard Pumpkin beer... the spices aren't overdone in the grand scheme, but are still too much for me to really enjoy.
A 22 is more than I really want and more than I will enjoy this year.

Poured into an Elysian snifter. Pours a medium to dark coppery orange amber with a fine half finger off-white head with excellent retention and lacing. Aroma of bready and caramel malt, pumpkin pie spices and squash. Flavor follows aroma, with caramel malt, pumpkin and pie spicing, light grassy hops. Medium bodied with a nice light creaminess. The flavor is not quite as intense fresh pumpkin as some its rivals, but good flavor. Spicing is well balanced and not overdone, but there is a bit of astringent bitterness, like tasting raw powdered allspice or pie spice blend (this could be the hops showing here, but are not distinguishable from the spice). Sweet, but at a level appropriate for a pumpkin pie beer. This won't knock off my local favorite, The Great Pumpkin, but is a nice change of pace and just needs a bit of dial back on the spice bitterness or with a more herbal hop presence. A nice holiday pumpkin beer.
