A: Pours a nice clear light amber with a frothy offwhite head. Head fades slowly, leaving sparse but decent lacing left behind. Decent retention as well.

S: Pungent and sharp grapefruit up front. Saltine-like malt follows.

T: Grapefruit again, sharp as can be. Nice tropical fruits follow with pineapple and mangos primarily . Bready, crackery malt in the finish. Lingering bitter grapefruit in the aftertaste.

M: Medium bodied, smooth. Mouth-coating hop oils.

O: Quite nice IPA. I am a big fan of tropical fruit bombs and this definitely is nice in that aspect. Dry, crackery malt is a nice departure from the caramel malt we see in every IPA. Kinda lends it a nice crisp character. Quite hoppy but not overly bitter. Tasty brew.

12oz picked up at Brewforia Meridian tonight for $2. Poured into my HotD tulip produces 1 finger of resilient white head. Decent lacing for the entire glass. Clear golden.

Nose is expected huge fruity hop forward... Citrus pith and some floral notes along with a bit of tropical fruits. Pale maltiness is only a hop delivery device.

Bracing bitterness, but not over done... Hop flavors mirror the nose with a bit more tropical fruit notes.

Body is PNW IPA standard done great.... Light/medium despite the higher ABV... small bubble effervescent carbonation.

This is a super well done IPA.... I wish I could find more info about it.

Poured into a Dogfish Head pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy coppery amber with a fine, half finger white head with great retention and lacing. Pleasant aroma of citrus, lightly piney and floral hops, melon juice, bready malt. Flavor follows, with a very nice mix of citrus, pine and herbal hops, tropical and light fruit, lightly biscuit malt. Medium bodied with light creaminess. Very nicely balanced and interesting mixture of flavors. The last of the Hop Project varieties I tried; all have been extremely enjoyable and nicely made. I will unhesitatingly buy any future entries to this series (or a repeat of this one). I'd love to see mixed four packs of these.

Thanks to Tieman for sharing this one at his tasting.

Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, citrus zest, and slight tropical fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest and orange juice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with a really nice citrus forward hop presence all around.

Poured into my large Gulden Draak tulip, Hop Project #2 is gold with a white head leaving light foamy lace.

Smell is bright hops, citrus, some spice and pine as well.

Taste is big yet smooth tropical citrus hop flavors with moderate bitterness. Resin on the long finish. A touch of cracker malt. Very solid.

Mouthfeel is dry, light bodied.

Drinkability is high, I'm really digging this IPA, I'm finding it to be clean and refreshing, yet it still packs the big hop flavor I crave. Best 10 Barrel brew I've had, I hope it makes it into regular rotation.

The Hop Project #2 poured a orange colored hue with a good 2 finger foam head. Tight lacing stuck to the sides of the glass.

Smell is dominated by citrus and pine. Nice aroma.

The taste is spicy followed by that lemon hop goodness. There is a nice bitterness that coats the tongue but is not too abrasive. Definitely an easy drinking beer. It is light on the sweetness more focused on a thin palate with deep hop presence. Overall a pretty solid offering.
