Appearance: Arrives with a clear amber color and an impressive head that sheets he pint glass as it is drained

Smell: Bready with tropical fruit and a hint of pith

Taste: Bready flavors underpin the hops, which bring tropical fruit (pineapple, lychee and papaya) and tangerine tones through the middle; increasing bitterness develops, after the swallow, with the predominate aspect being tangerine

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A nice hoppy wheat beer but it is not in the same echelon as the Modern Times offering or Gumballhead, for that matter

Look: Cloudy light orange with a frothy white head that builds up and slowly recedes to a lid, leaving nice lacing behind
Aroma: Mandarin oranges, lime, ruby-red grapefruit, pine, a little melon, freshly baked bread, and light wafts of fir needles
Taste: Opens up with a nice combo of lime and mandarins that hit first as mandarin-dominant before letting the lime grab the spotlight. Fir needles and some pine pick up in the middle along with grapefruit and the wheat malt base keep it aloft. Closes with lime, grapefruit, conifers, and a light bite
Mouthfeel: Full, smooth, medium-high carbonation, and soft on the finish outside of the hop bite
Overall: I dig it. This beer was my jam for years when it was first made and then added to these folks’ year-round lineup in the early 2010’s so was pumped to try it again and it is still a good wheat IPA. Classic conifer/citrus hops in play and the wheat gives it a uniquely soft feel without taking away its IPA roots. Still a good one

Cloudy amber colored ale with a tall puffy white colored head.

Smells sweet and malt with an earthy aroma. Scent of cedar wood plank. Mild perfume of flowers.

Starts out mildly sweet with a moderate level of bitterness. Tastes a little floral with some grapefruit rind.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall less than I expected.

Nose is a big mash-up of citrus and tropical fruits... a bit "catty".

Flavor has a mellow sorta grassy hoppiness and is a little mellow... bitterness comes on big late and lingers forever. Not really getting any "wheat" notes... the maltiness is pummeled by the bitterness and hop flavors... pretty dry throughout.

Light body and pretty much perfect carbonation.

A damn fine IPA, I wish my palate was good enough to really pick out and describe the wheat.

I get a lot of grapefruit in both the aroma and the taste. Tangerine too. The Bitterness and Sourness starts to turn into a sweet hard candy flavor towards the end of the glass. Very good IPA, I would recommend giving it a try if you like IPAs.

Had this for the first time on draft at the pub in Bend; what a pleasant surprise! Apocalypse had always been my go-to from 10 Barrel, but now you can throw in the OG. Great mix of hops with the sweetness of a hefe. Quite enjoyable.
