Atlas India Pale Ale is an ale with strength and character worthy of its name. Pale and caramel maltings of American two-row barley give Atlas IPA a malty backbone to support its noticeable, but not overpowering, hoppy flavor and aroma. Columbus, Amarillo, and Cascade hops are harmoniously blended together, bringing about floral and earthy tones which highlight this bold but delicious ale.

Strong lacing, heavy mouthfeel and low presence of hops which makes this more of a pale ale/lager blend than true IPA to me. Not bad by any means but not what I look for in an IPA. Coop IPA takes the OK IPA spot for me.

If in ok I would suggest giving it a shot but nothing to go out of your way for

A-rusty yellow color, a bit darker than most IPAs. not much head

S - nothing comes out very strong, but has a bit of a musty smell

T - as you would expect, hops are the dominant flavor, but not overpowering.

M - the hops bitterness sticks to the tongue, very enjoyable

O - overall an enjoyable beer. The flavor hides the alcohol nicely, feel like I could drink several of these

Poured into a shaker pint glass.

Look: Hazy caramel color, cream colored head that recedes to a film. Light lacing.

Aroma: Caramelly sweet, spicy. Tea-like herbal tang.

Taste: A tea leaf bitterness comes first before going into spicy sweet caramel. The finish brings bitterness, more black tea.

Mouthfeel: On the heavier side.

Overall: Malty. Spicy. Almost into DIPA territory.
