Big Jamoke is an American Robust Porter named for the B-25 that Brewmaster Eric Marshall’s grandfather flew in WW II. A blend of five malts from Munich to Chocolate provide a deep mahogany color and aroma of toffee and roasted coffee. On the palate this beer is full-bodied with hints of bittersweet chocolate and toffee… while finishing smooth and dry from the addition of earthy hops.

Served at cellar temperature @ Oak and Ore in OKC. Pours to a nice head that falls to a ring but laces moderately. Very dark brown. Aroma is not too much chocolate but more roasted malts and vanilla esters. A nice departure. Flavor is roasty and on the dry side. Satisfyingly crisp dry finish. Light on the tongue. Overall a crisp and dry version of porter. Never had anything like it before. You must try this one on tap.

A very good porter made in Oklahoma my home state. Pours a dark color with a small light head. Coffee smell and slightly bitter coffee taste with some toffee notes. Low carbonation with a great mouth feel and easy swallow.

Nice Porter. A little more hoppy than most, but not overwhelmingly so. Probably not in my top 5 porters, but would definitely drink again.

Everything about this beer is on-point; honestly, this has to take the reins as one of my favorite porters and rivals Edmund Fitzgerald for best in class.
