Pours porter dark, almost black, but a slight bit of amber can be seen near the top when held to the light. Other than that, you can't see through this one. a nice half an inch worth of cream colored head that sticks around leaving lacing.

Smells heavily of cascade hops, which of course impart a fruity aroma. I'm also picking up on some toasted malts, almost a chocolate type scent.

Lots of roasted maltiness, balanced by the sharpness of the hops. Not real hoppy-bitter, but it definitely has that juicy kind of taste of an IPA at the same time. I'd like a little more hop flavor, I feel like the malts dominate. A little alcohol in the back, but it's pretty well hidden for the most part.

Mouthfeel is fairly full, moderate carbonation. There is a silky sort of texture to it.

Despite being so dark and high in alcohol, it's quite drinkable. Nothing off putting about makes it easy to quaff. Get this one while you can, it's definitely worth a try.

A: 1/2” tan head. Decent retention, leaving nice lacing along the glass. Very dark brown body.

S: Big grapefruit & pine aroma with hints of roasted malts.

T: Wonderfully bitter, with loads of grapefruity, piney, and grassy hops (with grapefruit leading the way). There's some roasty, caramel, & dark malt underneath, but this one is all about the hops... and that's just fine with me.

M: Medium+ body with fine carbonation. Somewhat smooth with the hop bitterness lasting throughout the finish and beyond.

O: Alcohol well hidden. Tremendously drinkable. Right there with SSR & Victory Yakima – would love to do a blind tasting. I could go on, but to be honest I should just delete the whole review & say “Just *&$%ing outstanding.” God bless you, Eric Marshall.

Pours a dark brown, almost black with a foamy white head that dissipates reasonably soon. Nose is of sweet, floral pine. The pine carries through to taste, along with chocolate, caramel, citrus and hops. The bitterness hangs around a bit. Medium mouth with a bit of carbonation. This is a nice black IPA. I've been searching for it a while, and it did not disappoint.

A -wouldn't quite call this black, but a deep brown with thick tan head

S - very sweet with caramel and chocolate

T - a bit of chocolate from the aroma, but dominated but coffee and spices. I even taste some grapes

M- solid with heavy aftertaste. I feel like i need to chew it

O - fairly heavy and comes in a 22 ounce bottle, not something i would drink often. Although it was perfect for a tailgate party. The flavor was very good and complex, would definitely buy again for as special occasion.
