Old review that I thought I had posted a few years ago.

Draft/pint glass

One finger off white head with decent retention, leaving nice lacing. Nearly clear, light amber body.

Powerful piney/grassy hop aroma with a touch of caramel malt behind it. Excellent, especially strong for an APA.

Taste was piney and grassy hops over lightly toasted & caramel malts. Way hoppy for a pale - which is just fine with me.

Medium body. Fine carbonation. Nicely bitter finish with some lingering hop-oils.

One of the best APAs I've ever had. Far hoppier than their Atlas IPA. May be out of balance for some - but those people are wrong. Dangerously easy to drink.

Pours up to a nice buff head that leaves lace and lasts. Hazy orange-amber color. Aroma is hop-forward with earthy, piney, spicy hops and a nice powdery malt backdrop. Flavor mimics nose with a nice crisp, dry finish. Mouthfeel is sort of watery and a bit astringent but passable. Overall a decent quaff with some nice spicy, biscuity notes to make it interesting.

Pours a hazy orange color with 2 fingers of head. The aroma may be the best part of this beer and possibly the best aroma Ive ever got from a beer. One of the most pungent and booming aromas, this literally smells like smelling hop pellets in your hand. Citrus and pine bombard the nose at first with a little bit of bready malt. The taste is very good with the citra hop clearly shining through with the distinctive passionfruit followed by some citrus and light pine notes. The bready malt helps balance this hoppy pale ale by removing bitternness and adding a smooth, creamy finish. Mouthfeel is a little sticky and sweet from the malt which detracts for me. Overall, this is a very tasty brew and woud make for a great beginners beer to hoppy ales and even satisfy even the most seasoned hop head.

Edit: This is also a unassuming beer considering the label design, which makes for the don't judge a book by its cover example. It may look average on the outside, but this is much more than average. (91/100)
