If you're looking for a light lager, this is it! This is definitely my favorite beer - although I have recently getting into beer tasting. Love how foamy it is (and it lasts too!) and the flavor is just right! It's not too strong like dark beers thankfully (although I like that at times), and it has an awesome drinkability.

I understand it seems a lot of people in this website like strong heavy beers, so if that's the case I guess this is not it for you, but to me this beer is perfect!

Presently on tap at the house and drinking one right now. Definetly much better on draft than bottle. Very decent pour. Beautiful creamy head, even in a plastic cup. Very nice. The beer has a nice golden appearance. Definitely not a heavy European lager, a bit on the light side, not bitter at all. Would recommend this one to someone looking to get away from domestics and into the European market. Not bad for a mass marketed inexpensive European.

This is an amazing pale lager from Europe. This is a great beer if you are a fan of European style lagers. It is really light in color and it is smooth. A good summer beer. The only down side to the beer is it' s scent because it smells a little burnt. Aside from the smell it is a nice refreshing pale lager.

The taste is probably slightly under average, but then in finishes sweet and leaves you feeling satisfied. It's supposedly a girly beer, but I don't think many girls would appreciate it. It starts out slightly too bitter but then gets better. It's a good lightly above average beer when nothing interesting is around.

A very full body and rich beer overall. The appearance of it is a light yellow color with the smell being a sweet earthy and almost faint smell. The taste is crisp and refreshing for a beer and overall very tasty. Mostly a mans beer but a good beer overall none the less. I would for sure buy this at a bar or in store even

A great beer. Drink it often when available. Have found it on tap and it really is up there with some of the premium beers. Love Stella and know many fans of it. No over powering tastes of any type. Just a rich beer. There are a few better full body beers in my opinion but not many. Would never turn down a Stella. Now I just have to go out and find a locale that has their light version so I can try it, hopefully enjoy it and possibly unseat my Miller Lite as my favorite light beer. Hard to find but I am persistent.
Enjoy Stella!

I can't complain about this beer, wasn't anything exceptional, but it also wasn't a bad beer either. Had a spicy taste in front of a crisp wheet taste. Smell was kind of grainy. Appearance was golden yellow with a 3 cm foam head pure white. Mouthfeel was crisp, sort of wattery though. Very drinkable though, finished a tall of it with some salmon for dinner.

Belgian in origin, but not at all representative of the region's preferred/famous style, this pale golden lager with a thick lace does manage to stand out among the plethora of mainstream lagers out there. The scent is almost floral - a definite spicy, hoppy sharpness and presence. The taste follows this, with more complexity and depth than similar brews. Not half bad, and a solid step in-between mainstream and craft beer.

This beer comes in a green tinted bottle so there may be some skunking. Mine appeared to be and tasted fine though. It pours a clear gold color with a frothy looking head well over a inch thick that dwindles in size considerabely after 5 minutes, and is all but gone about 15 minutes after being poured. Left some decent lacing. Not much going on smell wise but aromas of hops and grains are somewhat present with maybe a hint of corn or some other vegetable. No other aromas that I could determine. Tastewise it is mildly sweet and grainy upfront with a slightly bitter hop finish. It has a medium, crisp mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. I found it to be very easy to drink. A good solid euro lager, but nothing special or out of the ordinary here as far as euro lagers go.

A-It's got a typical Lager look to it. Nothing great but also nothing horrible.

S-It's got a decent hoppy smell to it.

T- It has a nice clean taste that isnt overwhelming.

M-it's very fizzy but it does have a clean Finish

D-It's a good Brew.

It's a pretty good brew and it's probably best had with food. It's not a beer that I'd take on by itself really. It goes well with BBQ foods and Pizza.

Served from tap into a Weizen glass. Pours a golden yellow with one finger white head. Maintained excellent lacing throughout. The aroma was comprised of wheat and citrus. The flavor was of citrus and slight malt. It was light on the palate with low carbonation. Overall this was a very refreshing brew. Not my favorite brew I've had, but definitely not the worst. This is the one I go with for a lighter brew when the other options are not good.

Somebody brought a six to a party tonight so I decided to try it out. Stella's the latest trendy beer with the super-look-at-me-I'm-so-hip-and-cool-in-my-black-turtleneck-and-shades-San-Francisco-types.

As usual, the hip and coolers are buying a label instead of thinking for themselves. I poured it into a glass. Very little smell. Head disappeared after a minute or two. Hmmm, tastes like a weak, lightly hopped American lager.

That's it! Appeal to the super cool hipsters with a sissy beer that tastes like Busch Light -- except charge 10 bucks a six. Either that or just punt and buy Bud -- because there's no difference.

Yes, it's a good, drinkable beer. Completely overpriced, though.

Make no mistake about it, this is a session beer. If you get home after a long shitty day, and you're tired and need one really good beer before you go to bed, this is one is not it. This is for picnicing in the sun, lawn mowing, or tossing off half a dozen with your buddies and a plate of wings on Friday night. Its appearance is a gold-yellow that's almost bright enough to put me off. In fact, since I didn't have the side by side, it may be the exact same color as a Budwieser or somesuch for all I really know. But it didn't smell bad, so the color didn't put me off. Still if you put this next to a Amber lager, the color would look kind of weak. Anyway, the smell was fine. It was light, with a tiny bit of grain and some mild hops (slightly sour but not in a bad way). Taste was also fine but light. Very slightly sweet, a little bit of grains, hops that are more sour than bitter (the bitter only comes in the finish). This is a light enough beer that you can actually taste the carbonation a little. Mouthfeel was a little thin, but at least thick enough that it didn't make me think of a bad light beer. Drinkability is awesome. Anyone could throw their head back and make Stella Artois disappear like water on a hot day. That's really the strength of this beer. If you want something with flavor, something with distinction, this is not what you are looking for. But if you want something light, thirst quenching, agreeable, and completely inoffensive then this is a good idea (Assuming its cheap. Since I got mine at an inexpensive restaraunt, I don't know what this costs at a liqour store. If this runs you the same money as German or Dutch imports do here in the states, get something else because it is NOT worth a premium price). I could have done better, but I'm not sorry I tried this, its a pretty decent beer. A lot like Labatts, but a little cleaner, and even more drinkable. Maybe this is what they water down to make Dos Eques.
*Side note, before I said this would not get you hammered. I had 16 oz with a big meal and I weigh about 240lbs. ABV is listed at 5.90% on this site. Assuming that's true (and I have seen them change ratings before) then this may get you hammered pretty quick after all. If you have to have a beer and are driving, this isn't the one.

Having had this in its hometown Leuven Belgium and various other places in Belgium, on-tap, I had to try it in bottle purchased back home in the USA. You can see my on-tap rating, separately.

Not bad. The appearance was golden when poured, with a nicely separated foamy head which stayed longer than I expected. Consider that this beer is described as "like Budweiser" in some Belgium travel books written by Americans. It's better, though-- much much better.

The beer has a nice taste, nothing amazing or outstanding, but... very drinkable for the average beer-drinker. I'd recommend this as a good "intro to foreign beers" if you're trying to ply a US-beer swiller.

The hops are modest but present. There's a flavor in the taste that i can't quite identify-- maybe another reviewer has already easily identified it. It's nice, it brings a much more pleasant taste than many run-of-the-mill name-brand American beers, and it's nothing that would put anyone off. There's no overt flavor or taste, positive or negative. It's in the line of something mildly floral-- maybe rose-hips or something, but very subtly.

Stella is simply a very drinkable beer in bottles, and even more so on-tap, if you're not looking for anything overly interesting, exotic or exciting.

I have had this beer quite a few different times both on tap and out of the bottle as it is one of my friends favorites.

A - It pours a nice golden color

S - smells to me a lot like a American Lager and average

T- taste is smooth. It is compared to Budlight and other cheap domestics but I do prefer it over most of them because I find the taste cleaner and smoother.

M - More watery then my taste prefers

D - It is overall a easy drinking beer. I have had it from different places and sometimes seems to be slightly skunked in the bottle at times but even then does not taste terrible.

Over all I would rank it an average beer. Not something I would go out of my way to get but if its there I don't mind drinking it.

The only thing that I was dissapointed with was the smell which was pretty bad. There wasn't much head, and no lace to go along with it. There was thin, thin, thin lacing that wasn't sticky either. It went down really smooth, and was pretty solid for a Euro Pale Lager. Don't drink and review.

Got this from LCBO's Beligan beer gift set. Pours pale gold with about a two finger white head that dissipates quickly. Smell is fairly standard for this style lager with a malty accent. A bit of spice up front with a little bite to it in the end. Minimal lacing. This beer is very well balanced but I found it (not suprisingly) to be fairly watered down. Very refreshing and very quaffable, but like most people say, the price is too high for this standard lager.

Good beer. Nice yellow color. Short head. Non intrusive. Goes well with less savory meals. Cheeses, garlic, etc. Prefer it with a meal more than drinking alone. Not usually a beer to pull out for a visit.

Prefer on tap instead of bottle.

Has a stinky smell to it that can be off putting.

Despite this being a Belgian beer, it clearly steers away from the taste/style that the region is known for.

A: Pours an extremely pale, piss colour that is akin to Budweiser. 2 finger head that dissipates fairly quickly. Lots of lacing on the glass

S- Nothing special here, that's for sure. Notes of corn and fruit shine through in this one.

T- Opens with a near citrus taste that quickly turns in to a grainy explosion. Slight Hop near the end with a medium dry finish.

M- This beer is very refreshing and would go great on a hot summer day. Average carbonation.

O- IMO, Stella serves a similar purpose to Corona and might benefit from a lime. While I say that, I should mention that this is definitely a superior beer to Corona and I'm not knocking either beer in any way. Stella Artois is by no means the best beer I have ever had, but it is pretty good nontheless.

Poured into a pint glass.

Very pale yellow color with bright white one finger head. Bubbles raging the sides of the glass.

Smells like skunk got into ye olde flower shop. Its mild but its not the best smell around.

Taste isnt too bad. Once you can get past all the carbonation theres a sweetness there thats pleasant and inviting. Its what you would expect from a beer like this.

Mouthfeel is too carbonated and pretty thin.

Fairly priced and goes down smooth so it could be sessioned easily.

Pretty descent beer, pretty smooth with a light white head to it. The taste is probably slightly average, but then in finishes sweet and leaves you feeling satisfied. I can see girls being attracted to this kind of beer. It starts out slightly too bitter but then gets better. Its a good beer when its around cheap beers because they make this beer taste great compared to them.
