Poured a 500-ml can into a Stella Artois chalice. Chalice rests on a glass Stella Artois coaster.
Appearance - golden straw colour with sudsy lacing up the sides. Moderate carbonation.
Smell - Corn and straw dominate the bouquet here, with some grassy notes thrown in. A great partner for nosing some Scotch - brings back objectivity during an intermission.
Taste - much better from a can than the bottle. More depth to the straw-grassy malt flavours with less overt bitterness than the bottle version. Light waves of a slightly bitter finish continue.
Mouthfeel - peppery up front with smoothing effects along the sides of the mouth just seconds later.
Drinkability - a few cans like this in an evening is never a bad thing, just don't over-do it. The taste and refreshment doesn't go out on this great beer.

14.9 oz can poured into my FREE Stella Artois chalice.
Pours a crystal clear pale yellow color with two fingers of fluffy foam. Looks quite nice, actually. Aroma is bready, cooked corn, slightly vegetal.
The first sip is a very mild, slightly sweet flavor, with a slight bitter vegetal aftertaste. Bitterness seems to linger and wears on the tongue after a while.
This is a clean-tasting lager with no real offensive flavors. Overall pretty bland, but you can do a lot worse.

This massed produced Belgium beer, does not live up to the other beers of Belgium, it is only well known becuase of mass marketing in the United States and hipsters. It is marginally better than massed produced pale lagers in the United States. It pours golden clear, with little lacing, and a medium sized head that dissapears pretty fast after arriving. It has a hoppy, stale, and skunky taste, with twinges of rice and wheat, and the it has the aroma of malt and hops. Goes down easy, low alcohol content, and less filling makes it good for barabacueing and partying, not much else. Nothing to get excited about, not the best, not the worst.
