11.2 oz bottle ($2.21 at TJ's in Standish, ME) poured into tumbler. Best by 02.2012. I can promise it won't be drinkable on that date.
A: Vigorous pour yields a mostly translucent straw-gold with sun-yellow highlights. 1/2-finger head settles fast and leaves no lacing.
S: Skunky floral qualities. Corn, sweet malt.
T: Sweet water with light floral notes. Malts follow in a subtle manner. Finish is nicely balanced.
M: High carbonation and decent body. Creams up well.
O: A lot of people call Stella Artois the BMC of Belgium, and they're not far off. Still, it definitely has a leg up on similar offerings, and is extremely drinkable, despite its overall "boringness."
Fun on occasion.
