A 440ml can with a BB of Nov 2012. Picked up cheap from a supermarket some time back.

Poured into a straight pint glass. A clear pale-gold colour with decent carbonation and faint floating sediment. Forms a smallish head of white foam that rapidly collapses and disappears. Aroma of weak malt with hints of stewed leaves, overdone veg and a harsh note in the background. Uninspiring.

Tastes of light malt with a crisp, dry finish. Hints of stewed hops with a slightly harsh, solventy quality in the background. A restrained bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is light and tingly, but with a thin, watery body. Mildly astringent, with an aftertaste of faint stewed leaves.

Meh - another run-of-the-mill macro lager. Bland, watery and uninteresting. I guess it would quench your thirst on a hot day, but it serves little other purpose. Give it a miss.

Thanks to my buddy Jesse13713 for sharing a 16 oz can of this with me.

A: Pours a clear yellow color, with two fingers of foamy white head, leaving solid lacing behind. Hard to fault the appearance after a night of drinking several (craft!) American ales which looked far thinner and left less desirable characteristics behind.

S: Very pale in qualities here; I get a bit of a corny sweetness and a lightly grassy hop character.

T: Possibly a step up from Bud and its peers; this beer has a light sweetness with a faint bitterness in the background to keep things from getting out of control bad. Can't say that I especially enjoy the beer, even if I could tolerate it over a night if it was offered to me. Even accepting the limitations of the style, I'm finding less and less to enjoy on each passing sip. I would need to be on a pretty intense night on the town to appreciate this beer, and even then my appreciation wouldn't be rooted in taste.

M: Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation; the body of this beer does well for the taste that it's working with. It doesn't do much to keep the faint flavors of its taste around, but it does encourage me to take my next sip fairly quickly.

O: Not really a good beer, but if you're looking for a Euro Pale Lager I'm not sure that I could point you in a better direction. This beer is definitely best as an accent of a good night not centered around beer.
