I was very impressed with this Oatmeal Stout. It equalled if not bested Founders Oatmeal Stout (which is one of my favorites) The Aroma was great. Roasted Grains, Coffee with a faint Oatmeal aroma. The Oatmeal Aroma was not over the top nor should it be, it was just right. The Appearance was great. Very Dark brown with a dark tan head. The taste was great. Good balance of sweet and dry. Nice roasted grain, coffee and a mild oatmeal finish. Nice full-bodied/heavy mouth feel. This beer suprised me indeed.

When I first tasted this beer I served it a little cold. When it warmed to the proper temperature I was very pleasantly suprised.

Dark, with a quickly fading head. No lacing, but the color is quite pretty.

Smells like roasted coffee, and a bit of dark chocolate comes out as it warms. It smells good, but it's fairly one dimensional. Tastes roasty with a bitter finish. A tad soapy for my liking. The midpalate is tart, but not objectionably so.

Mouthfeel is a bit thin, not as creamy as I'd hope for from an oatmeal stout. Appropriate carbonation.

I liked it, but I didn't love it. It's a good stout, but maybe not a great oatmeal stout? Still, I almost bought a growler of it just for a change of pace.

A: a very deep brown, almoust completely black, is totally opaque but not hazy, the head is one finge and presents a brownish color, but dissappears a little bit fast, there is no perceptible carb

S: some toffe, roast, coffe, chocolate

T: is has a full body, the oatmeal is present and works fine, the flavour is as the smell, the coffee is awesome, altough the mouthfeel is kind of strange it feels a little acidity and crisp on tongue not sure if its a good sign

Not very stout like - almost like a root beer porter.

Pint on tap at the source restaurant in Cabo San Lucas. The only stout of my long liver-shredding investigation of the beers of the Baja, this one is an opaque brown-black with a finger of creamy tan colored head. Very sweet nose, with a predominant chocolate raisin element that carries forward onto the palate, black coffee, brown sugar, and a faint whiff of ash. No ash in the flavor however, which is a notably sweet meld of the aforementioned chocolate-covered raisins (this one is fruitier than expected), roasted coffee substitute, light cream, and a tinge of earthy English hops. Some diacetyl that amplifies the sweetness. If there is a clear knock here its that the body is too thin. Great creamy mouthfeel nonetheless. Oat astrigency in the finish. This beer would be underrated and underappreciated were it better known.
