Straw colored with little yeast chunks floating in it. About a finger of white head that quickly faded. Aroma is sweet with hints of tart green apple. Taste starts off sweet but it quickly replaced by a hop flavor that I have to agree is a little medicinal. Slightly sticky mouthfeel.

A: Poured a golden orange color, with lots of visible floaties.

S: sweet with pale malts.

T: started out with a big sour citrus/orange flavor and hop tang. There was some sour apple spiciness and cider notes as well before finishing with a sour citrus bite for a finish and alcohol warming. Drinks much bigger then its reported 8.4%.

M: light carbonation and really nothing to behold.

D: Drinkability is fair and average. Wouldn't buy in multiples.

My bottle has "Bogemian Pale Beer", rather than "Bogemia Pale Beer"... I'm interested as to why the difference. I know it's the same beer though, it's produced by Krasnyj Vostok and it has 8.4% abv. Anyways... poured from the bottle into a pint glass, beer is a clear, light golden color with a thin bubbly head. Smell is primarily pale malt, a bit of spice and alcohol. The taste also has a bit of sweetness to it, green apples maybe and a clovey finish that covers the alcohol quite well. The mouthfeel is light-medium bodied with little carbonation. This is a would be a drinkable beer, but I think the spice of the beer takes away from its overall drinkability.

1 Pint .09 ounce Brown Bottle with a Green, Gold and White label, Imported By AIKO LLC, Mount Pleasant, SC.( www.aikollc.com) No best by/brewed dates evident. Purchased today at Spirits Unlimited, Red Bank, NJ.

Pours a darker amber than most Euro Lagers I have tried, with a short-lived off-white head. Head remains as a thin layer as it is fed by the steady stream of carbonation. Sparse lace that does not want to stick

Aroma is apples, like cider, otherwise just very clean no funk discernable.

Taste is initially too sweet with a strong alcohol middle and a decent dose of hop bitterness at the end. The caramel malt sweetness, while tolerable does not endear me to this beer. Lingering hop aftertaste is not entirely pleasant as it more medicinal than I prefer. This seems typical of this style.

Mouthfeel is medium, the beer clings to the palate and roof of the mouth for a decent stretch. Perhaps long after its welcome has worn out.

This is a drinkable beer, though not one I will seek out with great alacrity.
