This place is mostly known for its craft distilled spirits, but it does have a great location on the Basque block. About 8-10 taps with a focus on local craft and large national craft. Good food, large beer hall type atmosphere. very accessible and across the street from bar Gernika, another fave.

I have been here several times as it is the favorite on one of my customers. It is located an area of Boise where there are a lot of Basque influence (bars, restaurants, grocery store, cultural institutions, etc.)

I have been told that this place was on old stable and/or blacksmith shop, their website says warehouse. Either way, it is a pretty cool space with a long bar along one end, lots of tables, exposed old ceiling beams, bricks, etc. Behind glass you can see some of their distilling equipment.

They have a pretty decent beer selection, with 10 drafts and 24 or so bottles. About ½ are decent. Note they sometimes offer cask, but it is hit or miss. Be sure and try some of their house distilled spirits. I really liked the rye. They also have a solid wine list.

The food is good with some varied options. I have had decent salads, soups, sandwiches and some really good trout. You shouldn't go away hungry!

Note that due to the architecture and hard surfaces, this place can get very loud when crowded. There are a good amount of TVs, so not a bad spot to catch a game.

While not my favorite place in Boise, it is pretty solid and well worth a stop.

This place is a Distillery and restaurant in downtown Boise that also has a fairly nice rotating beer selection. On hand there is usually a local brew (like Dagger Falls IPA from Sockeye here in Boise) as well as offerings from Full Sail and Deschutes, among others.

They serve excellent mixed drinks (Bardenay mojito's are EXCELLENT, they use their own Rum), and their scotch whisky selection is probably the third best in Boise (behing Piper Pub and Red Feather).

The food here is a real plus, I love the steak salad as well as the steak sandwich, and all of the portions are good and the sides are very generous. Good appetizers as well, local cheese platters, satays (which are CHEAP during happy hours), etc.

The atmosphere is usually good and casual, and the restaurant's location in the Basque district is primo. The patio is nice in the summertime, and the booths are comfy. My only knock is when its busy, I hate sitting at the tables that are packed together at weird angles in the center of the room.

Their back room, the Boiler Room, is available for use for small parties, and I've utilized it on a few occasions. Service is usually top notch, especially for large parties.

Just realized after adding this place quite some time ago that I never reviewed it. When I lived in Boise this place was my favorite spot for dinner. You can't get a better meatloaf sandwich anywhere.
They have a fairly decent tap selections and have 10+ taps and one cask. Nice rotating lineup of brews from Deschutes, Stone, Full Sail, Laughing Dog, Alaskan and Rogue. They always have a regular lineup and do a good job of bringing in the seasonals. I haven't seen anything crazy (like ABYSS or other limited special brews) but they keep a nice selection that goes well with food. Highly recommended for lunch and a brew.
