A: Pours a deep amber color with a small tan head that fades to some lacing

S: Aroma of roasted malt, mild caramel sweetness with just a hint of coffee.

T: Taste of roasted malt, bit caramel sweetness with a bit of nut. Has a bit of a malty bitterness and a slight aftertaste.

F: Medium body, smooth with an interesting balance.

O: Nice beer for the style. Worth checking out.

This pours a very hazy dark amber with not a lot of head.

Some nice earthy hop notes on the palate. Lots of caramel malts as well.

Malts come to the fore on the palate. Some sweetness as well.

Not a lot of bitterness and highish carbonation.

A reasonable brew.

Copper colour with a bit of haze. Big, fluffy ivory head. Looks good but not spot on.

Honey sweet malts, some light nuttiness. Earthy hops are moderately low in intensity. No diacetyl.

Rich, toasty, nutty malts are in the foreground. A hint of darker roast sort of comes through as well but it is secondary. Some earthy bitterness plays itself out through the midpalate and it lingers a touch. Mild sulfate water adds complexity. Dry finish given the maltiness of the beer.

Medium body with moderately high carbonation. It would be nice if the carbonation was a little lower but it works fine.

A tasty beer with the focus clearly on the malt while maintaining balance. Not necessarily spot on to style but a good beer which certainly appeals to me.

Pours toffee/amber with a very large head.
Aroma shows resiny, grassy and earthy hops - good English notes. Malt show some caramel, but not incredibly impressive.
Flavours include more caramel and toasty notes, with some grassy hops, before a somewhat-unpleasant sharp bitterness shows.
Pretty high carbonation for a bitter.

A - Poured into a pint glass a hazy rusty copper colour with a couple of centimetres of off white head that falls away fairly quickly.
S - Slight floral & woody spice hop notes on top of a caramel/toffee maltiness.
T - The caramel/toffee malt comes through a lot more in the taste but is still backed up by some floral hoppiness.
M - Medium bodied, lowish carbonation. The bitterness is there but fairly low.
D - A nice, well balanced beer. Well worth trying.
