12oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with a big fluffy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet tropical fruits and bready malts with some resiny hops.

The flavor is bready malts and sweet fruits with a big resiny hop finish with quite a bit of lingering bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, I like this IPA and have liked a lot of Marble's beers. It's a good mix of fruits, and resiny bitterness.

Tonight I am comparing several different IPA's that are all poured from a can. In addition to this one, I am tasting Ska Brewing's Modus Hoperendi IPA, Anderson Valley Hop Ottin' IPA and Santa Fe Brewing Happy Camper IPA.

This beer poured from a can into a large tulip glass is cloudier than any of the other 3, and has a very minimal head. The aroma is nice citrus and floral, but it doesn't translate directly to the palate. This is a bitter IPA with a sort of sour aftertaste.... Not terribly impressed. Reading thru some of the other reviews on BA, I wonder if I am drinking something past it's "drink by" date.

Light amberish and dark yellow color beer, 1"+ head, average lacing and retention. Nice color. Aroma was hoppy when fresh, rough malt prominence when aged.

Taste, solid craft ipa, better hop flavor than average. Good alcohol warmth. Moderate amount of caramel, equal parts grapefruit and pine. Average malt sweetness from it. Not super hefty. Bitterness is moderate. A pretty decent and straightforward ipa, there isn't much in the way of complexity, but its not a style that demands it. Its solid B grade, second tier stuff. I'd be a repeat purchaser if it was in my area for $7.99

The first time I had this was like a 6 month old bottle my brother sat on forever as part of our trade.

(Served in an American pint glass)

A- This beer pours a deep coppery yellow clear body with a good carbonation of tiny bubbles and a thick white spongy head that turns to a thick meniscus and last for the full beer. There are thick clouds of foam that stick as registry marks on the glass after each sip.

S- Big juicy green hops with a pine and citrus aroma have a faint bitter note in the finish. The hops come through even during the pour.

T- Fresh juicy green hops taste with a slight sweet malty taste behind it. There is some bold pine flavors with some limy citrus flavors and a light cat pee flavor (which is a tasty thing). This beer finishes with a soft hop bitterness that lingers just briefly after each sip.

M- This beer has a medium mouthfeel with a tight little fizz and no alcohol heat at all.

D- This beer has wonderful fresh bold hops that are well supported by a sweet malt base and bitterness. This beer has one of the best hops flavors and aromas while still being very drinkable and it was a nice session beer. The hop bitterness takes a bit of a step forward as the beer warms but it is always in check. I drank one of these following a nice greasy Monte Cristo sandwich and thought I was in heaven.

Poured a pretty golden, with a tiny bit of head. It looks like what I look for in an IPA. Scents of pine, malt and some citrus. Flavor begins with malt sweetness and moves into pine, slight floral and some grapefruit, finishes with more floral flavors and ends with an aftertaste of grapefruit pith. Quite good, very true to style and some of the better IPAs I've tasted. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation, quite easy to drink and feels good on the palate. An excellent example of an American IPA out of New Mexico, worth trying to find.

A small to maybe medium sized off white head settles into a decent lacing above a clear honey golden colored beer.

Citrus and pine dominate a hoppy aroma.

Almost a bitter soapiness to a taste that is full of citrus, floral, and pine style hops.

A dryish aftertaste that has some of the bitterness left over from the taste with some slight citrus tastes coming along for the ride on this medium bodied and easy drinking beer.

I could drink a few of these, quite a few.

Bottled 3/20/12.

Served cold into a pint glass, Marble IPA is a slightly hazy golden yellow color with thin sticky head.

Aroma is pleasantly hoppy and fresh with nice citrus character.

Flavor is really quite nice with strong hop bitterness and flavor. The citrus from the aroma carries over with the addition of pine.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and well carbonated.

Overall a strongly hopped IPA but one with a little lower ABV than most making it a little more drinkable.

Appearance: Light in color, a bit like an English IPA. Copper/golden tones all around.

Smell: Wet hops. Can't say I like this very much.

Taste/Mouthfeel: Definitely goes down smoothly, but that's because it's way too thin for an IPA. Taste is a lot like smell...wet/stale hops. Still, it has nice bite.

Drinkability: Not my favorite.

Overall: Probably the first miss by Marble that I've tasted.
