A - Golden brown with a half inch white head.

S - Hops all the way.

T - Hops once again. This is amazing. It is all about the hops. None of the side nonsense. This is what I think a solid ipa should be all about.

M - Nice medium carbonation. Very clean and crisp.

O - No complaints here. All around a great ipa. (315 characters)

XicanoBeerRun shared this with me.

This looks resplendent, a golden yellow with billowy foam that dissipates into a tight, thin lace. Aroma is amazing, just a full-breath of grassy pine goodness. Flavor leaps off the palate. Very crisp, very sharp, very much grassy-pine like the aroma. Tastes incredible, finishes leaving me wanting another. Loved it! (354 characters)

Thanks to TheDankOne for hooking me up with this bottle.

A - Pouring into a pint glass produces a half inch of sticky white head. The head retention is excellent and leaves generous lacing on the inside of the glass. The beer is clear and golden with orange highlights.

S - The nose is nice and hop forward. There is juicy citrus and tropical notes throughout. In addition there is a light caramel aroma.

M - Light to medium in body with active carbonation. Slightly resinous and dry.

T - Wow, this beer produces an amazing tropical flavor profile. There is pineapple, mango and citrus present. There's a small amount of grapefruit in the finish with a fairly low bitterness thanks to the complementing caramel malt backbone.

This beer is so refreshing and well balanced that I wish it was distributed in my neck of the woods. It's an outstanding IPA and could easily hang out with the other awesome IPAs that are out there. This beer has inspired me to look into creating an IPA with Columbus, Centennial, and Amarillo hops. (1,030 characters)

This was a gift from Carla & Mark - Thanks much guys! Excellent brew! Had a nice, tho short lived head and a clear amber color. Aroma is a super fresh hop; heavy grapefruit. Flavor is also very fresh and fits the style so well. Palate is perfect. Finish is like flavor, nothing off, very drinkable. Wish I had more. (315 characters)

Pours a clear, deep golden color with a thick white head that leaves loads of lacing.

Smells of citrus, and floral hops.

Tastes of big delicious hops. Notes of grapefruit with a good amount of bitterness. Some floral and grassy notes come through as well. A bit of tropical type fruits come through with mango and pineapple. Pale malts are well represented with a bit of bread and a small sweetness.

Mouthfeel is medium with a smooth amount of carbonation. (459 characters)

Pours a deep golden hue with a bit of orange. Nice off white, lasting head. Just a slight bit of chill or hop haze.

The aroma is divine...smells like an IPA should smell. Loaded with hop aroma of grapefruit and passionfruit.

Flavor has an underlying maltiness to balance all the hops in this one. Detect some mango flavors, definite citrus hop flavor. The hops coat the tongue and linger long after swallowing.

Light to medium body, nice moderate carbonation level. I love the lighter bodied and colored IPA's, yet this one has enough malt to balance nicely with the hops.

Fantastic IPA...although I admit I may be a little biased when it comes to this hometown brewery. I have always been a fan of Ted's beers! (723 characters)

(Served in an American pint glass)

A- This beer pours a deep coppery yellow clear body with a good carbonation of tiny bubbles and a thick white spongy head that turns to a thick meniscus and last for the full beer. There are thick clouds of foam that stick as registry marks on the glass after each sip.

S- Big juicy green hops with a pine and citrus aroma have a faint bitter note in the finish. The hops come through even during the pour.

T- Fresh juicy green hops taste with a slight sweet malty taste behind it. There is some bold pine flavors with some limy citrus flavors and a light cat pee flavor (which is a tasty thing). This beer finishes with a soft hop bitterness that lingers just briefly after each sip.

M- This beer has a medium mouthfeel with a tight little fizz and no alcohol heat at all.

D- This beer has wonderful fresh bold hops that are well supported by a sweet malt base and bitterness. This beer has one of the best hops flavors and aromas while still being very drinkable and it was a nice session beer. The hop bitterness takes a bit of a step forward as the beer warms but it is always in check. I drank one of these following a nice greasy Monte Cristo sandwich and thought I was in heaven. (1,227 characters)

The march towards incredible beers in cans continues. This beer had the most fragrant hop aroma I have ever experience for a beer in a can. Clean, crisp citrus joy. The flavor was also outstanding. Light yet full of great piney citrus flavor. A very drinkable IPA. (264 characters)

poured ok with single finger head, color golden with good carbonation action.

smell is great with floral and citrus burst that tell me "this may be good"...

taste fulfils the smell with all flavors the nose decribed earlier..flowery first then citrus but finishes with slight bitterness that somehow holds the fruit for a great finish and great bitter feel

im a bigtime ipa guy and this is my first review...i had to write about this beer...its in my top 2 or 3 ipa's

I have this right up there among the best IPAs that I've yet had - the head retention was lacking, but other than that this thing was by far the best NM beer I tasted in a recent tour of the South West. For me it has that 'just right' balance of sweetness and hops that I love so much in Bells Two Hearted Ale - a beer I have no problem saying Marblehas equalled if not improved upon by adding a bit more mouthfeel! Well done! (426 characters)

12oz bottle stamped 12 22 11 on the bottom right edge of the label. Poured into a Harpoon IPA stange glass.

Appearance - Loose white head with fine bubbling, great retention. Patchy stick and first, but becomes regular after the first few sips.

Smell - Very delicious bright floral, grass and citrus notes. Smells utterly appetizing. Light honey biscuit malt.

Taste - Very nice balance between hop and malt. Neither are overtly bold, but they aren't mild either; they play off eachother sharing the spotlight. Grassy. Lime peel bitterness, and just the perfect amount of astringency to balance it.

Mouthfeel - Bright, light to medium body. Great clean finish, with only the faintest hint of stickiness.

Overall Drinkability - This is the best single IPA I've had in a long time. One of the best. (801 characters)

Cloudy amber/orange,fluffy one finger head, lots of tiny bubbles, fair amount of sticky lacing left behind.

Aroma is grapefruit peel, orange & pine, hops are in the spotlight.

Taste is a pleasant mirror of the aroma, lots of bright citrus flavors, pleasant bitter aftertaste, malt just enough to support the hops. Alcohol nicely hidden.

Light medium body, above average mouthfeel, well carbonated.

Straight up solid IPA that has a lot going for it, nicely hoppy, with a crisp dry finish. (486 characters)

p/u @ jubilation in Albuquerque. Thank you Danny!
Poured from 12 oz bottle in "another brand" pint glass.
A-Clear golden amber with 1" white head that laces very well.
A- Fresh crisp citrus hops strong note. Very light floral note.
T- First and foremost it is strong grapefruit hops. This maybe due to their use of Columbus,Amarillo and Centennial hops. It is less floral than some other Am.Ipa's yet very very tasty. The taste lingers for a long time and mmm reminds you of it's goodness.
M- medium light mouthfeel with just the right amount of carbonation.
D- I really like this Am.IPA and will buy it again. I look forward to visiting the brewpub tasting it on tap.
This is the first beer they have started bottling. It is a new brewery with deep roots. Thank you! (768 characters)

Enjoying several of the Marble offerings while visiting Albuquerque. In advance of my trip my local buddy has been pumping me up on Marble IPA saying it was one of his favorites. While he's not a BA member, he knows a lot about quality beers and enjoys quality IPA's. I have to say, the is correct, this is a great IPA.

Bright gold in color with the slightest of a haze, wonderful full creamy head that rises above the glass. Excellent lacing. Indeed, a fine looking IPA.

Aroma is fantastic. Immediately lets you know you are dealing with a fresh IPA and one with great hop character. Bright, floral and focusing mainly on citrus/grapefruit notes. Very perfume like.

Excellent flavor that does follow the lead of the aroma. Burst of citrus hops with plenty of grapefruit even with the flavor of the peel. The malt profile is excellent and has that cracker/light bread flavor that I enjoy. Fresh is the main thought you have as you enjoy this.

Bright, refreshing, medium bodied with a crisp level of carbonation.

Have really enjoyed drinking this in my time in town. Excellent IPA and one that I think will get more play in the coming months.

Well Done. (Their Red Ale is great too!) (1,188 characters)

T- Fresh hop taste. Well balanced malty and bitter flavor. Seem to taste a different hop with each sip.

M- Medium body with good carbonation.

D- A wonderfull refreshing session beer with nice balance and alot of hop complexity. (343 characters)

12 oz bottle bottled on 5/2 poured into Spiegelau glass

A: very light gold light orange hue with perfect clarity and soapy head

S: smells juicy a little grass, but mostly big citrus, pineapple, passionfruit, and mango

T: lots of mango and a surprising amount of bitterness on the end the beer has a nice backbone to it its not all just juicy hops like the nose implies

M: lighter side very easy to drink

O: This is an excellent beer its big juicy and fruity with a stiff backbone to temper the juiciness. You wont be disappointed if you grab this. (557 characters)

Essentially my "go-to" beer for quite some time. Had many many times before, but never before reviewed.
Enjoyed at Marble Brewery

Appearance: Great golden coloration, which is very pale. Nice head retention with some big-time stickiness. It's a really great looking beer aesthetically, it has a really "classic" quality about it.

Smell: A huge hope presence!! Really full spectrum hoppiness here, with floral to earthy, to citrusy, and everywhere in between. This certainly works to show of hops hops and even more hops... There's malt in there too, but you've gotta search a little bit.

Taste: Amazingly clean tasting, in that the bitterness of the hops isn't bombarding. It has nice balance, some nice malt notes on the finish, and great hop presence throughout. Certainly on of the best IPA's that NM has to offer; we're lucky enough to have access to it year round and always have it at it's freshest state too.

Mouthfeel: Bitter, dry, and smooth. Really, an exceptional IPA (not to completely sound like i'm "home-towning").

Overall: A beer that holds a special place in my heart as one of my introductions into hop-hood. We're lucky again, to have access to it when it's extremely fresh, and more and more local restaurants are offering it on tap (it pairs with green chile enchiladas magnificently). I have nothing but good praise for this beer, and I hope people outside of NM get the chance to try it. (1,415 characters)

12oz bottle from Phelps.

Pours a hazy golden orange with a thin creamy white head that leaves sporadic lacing on the sides.

The aroma is all about the juicy citrus hops with pineapples leading the way. Bit of malts in the background but the hops get even stronger as it warms, grapefruit and a bit of candied fruits as well.

Taste has a nice pithy bitterness up front with oranges and grapefruit. The backbone is doughy malts is enough to balance things out a bit.

The mouthfeel is excellent, sticky with hops and really juicy for a regular IPA.

This is one of the better IPAs I've had recently. It's one of the most flavorful standard IPAs I can remember having. It's got as much complexity as a really solid DIPA. Highly recommended. (740 characters)

This one pours an attractive sunshine orange. Its rather hazy, and you don't get an awful amount of head.

Nose: Nice hop aroma, very nice actually. Plenty of citrus (grapefruit), with a good balance of the pine aromas.

Taste: Strong grapefruit (juicy) taste. Very clean and balanced. Just a nice hop forward IPA.

Mouth: The one lived in the middle of the palate for me. Nice bitterness near the back of the mouth that finishes to a sweet dry finish.

Overall: I like this brew a lot, and could easily be a session IPA, no doubt. It's rather cheap, refreshing, light enough to pound back as many as you want, and just a solid offering. (638 characters)

Appearance: Cloudy orange with nice thick white head and good lacing. Outstanding carbonation.

Smell: citrusy-pine hops

Taste: Pine hops with citrus/grapefruit and really good. It tastes great. I've never had a piney beer this great before. Excellent blend of hops.

An excellent ipa that totally satisfies the need for the hop. A class by itself. (349 characters)

Poured into a snifter.

A - beautiful dark golden color with awesome lacing and bright white head on top.

S - a ton of hops on the nose, citrus, grapefruit, wheat.

T - same as nose - big, bold hops and grapefruit dominate.

M - good carbonation and surprisingly smooth, even with the intense hop bite. My mouth is happy.

D - definitely a sessionable IPA here! (362 characters)

Marble Brewery IPA into 25cl tulip

Slightly hazed orange with golden and yellow highlights. A half inch
white head that leaves nice stick throughout.

Aroma is so damn hop forward. Tangerines, grapefruit, pine needles, floral.

Grapefruit zest, tangerines, navel oranges, pine sap, raw hop leafs.
Intense and fresh.

Body is light and refreshing, with a moderate carbonation.

This is way easy to throw back. One of the absolute best IPAs that I
have ever been fortunate enough to drink. On par with greats like Two
Hearted and Stone IPA. (539 characters)

My parents and I were staying in the Hotel Albuquerque and we stopped in at the hotel restaurant for dinner. I was stoked to see local brews on their menu, including 12 oz bottles of an IPA from Marble Brewing Company! Knowing I was about to dive into a steamy spicy bowl of green chile stew, I went for the IPA! Turns out it was an excellent decision!

Appearance- Brilliant orange with a slowly fading eggshell white head. Nice clingy lacing most of the way down.

Aroma- LOADS of juicy supercharged american hops oozing with aromas of pineapple, grapefruit, orange...wow. A faint caramel maltiness lies underneath but heavy handed hop aromas are front and center.

Flavor- Starts off the same as aromatics with juicy bursting hop flavors. Middle brings out some resinous, dank hop notes and even some hints of earthy woodiness and a hint of caramel malt. Minerally finish cuts the heavy hop flavors leaving a fairly crisp, slightly dry finish. Bitterness levels relatively low as most of the hop additions apparently geared towards flavor and aroma.

Mouthfeel- Moderate to high CO2, medium bodied, slightly drying finish, and a low to moderate residual sweetness.

Overall- Quite unbalanced towards hops side, but that is about what I would expect out of an American IPA! The finish makes this boundary pushing brew very drinkable. The bright American hop flavors are incredible and excellent with spicy local foods! Was a perfect beer for that green chile stew! I will definitely seek out more Marble Brews next time I am in town! (1,536 characters)

S - awesome grapefruit forward nose
T - Light/medium body, tons of grapefruit again with a hop forward backbone
F - Goodness, want this to linger on the tongue even more than it does
O- a great IPA - a go to that I might consider the standard against all others (343 characters)
