Pours a hazy gold with a thumb and a half width creamy off-white head. A very nice aroma; sweet and biscuity malt foundation wit some nice tropical fruitiness, along with some rind and pine to give off some bitterness. A moderately bitter flavor that properly reflects the aroma;. Crisp mouthfeel. Overall, a very nice IPA.

12oz bottle dated 5/11/12 received in trade today from shuntstout.

Hazy, golden orange elixir poured into DFH snifter. Nice one-finger, white head, leaves 2mm cap on brew. Beautiful, fluffy lacing coats the glass.

Citrus aromas of oranges, grapefruit, lemon zest and pineapple.

Smooth bitterness, grapefruit tang, bit of the malt backbone comes through.

Medium body, well carbonated.

Solid IPA. I appreciate the lower ABV (under 7%) but don't find it lessens the hop impact. Look forward to more from Marble.

12oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with a big fluffy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet tropical fruits and bready malts with some resiny hops.

The flavor is bready malts and sweet fruits with a big resiny hop finish with quite a bit of lingering bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, I like this IPA and have liked a lot of Marble's beers. It's a good mix of fruits, and resiny bitterness.

Appearance: Cloudy orange with nice thick white head and good lacing. Outstanding carbonation.

Smell: citrusy-pine hops

Taste: Pine hops with citrus/grapefruit and really good. It tastes great. I've never had a piney beer this great before. Excellent blend of hops.

An excellent ipa that totally satisfies the need for the hop. A class by itself.

Picked it up at Trader Joe’s in Albuquerque, N.M. Poured from a bottle into a small glass (maybe eight ounces) that I had in the hotel room in Albuquerque, N.M. on April 20. About a finger of head. Color was golden yellow with lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom. Frothy, cloudy white lacing on the top. Healthy amount of sporadic film on the sides.

Smelled of hops right off the get-go, but not overwhelming. Seemed to be grapefruit citrus hops. Decent amount of pine in there. Some sweetness to it too.

Not a bad taste, definitely better than the smell. Got the citrus notes up front (more lemon up front, ending with definite grapefruit). Pretty piny, too. Could definitely taste the alcohol. Not as bitter as I would have though.

Medium-to-light body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, grapefruit finish.

Pretty happy with this beer. Grapefruit rules the day here.

Bottle dated 3/23/2012, fairly fresh. Bright orange-yellow color, clear, good head. Farily hoppy smell to it, not quite dank or piney and yet not really tropical, herbal I guess. Taste is bitter, hoppy and a little chewy malt action going on as well. Overall this is a solid IPA and one I'll probably buy again.

Bottled 3/20/12.

Served cold into a pint glass, Marble IPA is a slightly hazy golden yellow color with thin sticky head.

Aroma is pleasantly hoppy and fresh with nice citrus character.

Flavor is really quite nice with strong hop bitterness and flavor. The citrus from the aroma carries over with the addition of pine.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and well carbonated.

Overall a strongly hopped IPA but one with a little lower ABV than most making it a little more drinkable.

Clear copper fluid fits easily into Bruery Tulip with one swift pour. Head is white foam with small soapy bubbles. Very little lacing to speak of.

Strong hop aroma greats you upon opening the bottle... Very pineapple, apple, yes, apple, grapefruit, and the rest of your typical west coast IPA aromas. Very buttery and smooth.

Very smooth and quite bitter... Just as an IPA should be. It could stand to be more creamy and thick, but I'll take it. Very nice tropical citrus favor. Thin body with over carbonation.

This brew is all over the board... Very good flavor and aroma, but struggles lie within the mouthfeel... A very good first offering from Marble, welcome to Colorado!

XicanoBeerRun shared this with me.

This looks resplendent, a golden yellow with billowy foam that dissipates into a tight, thin lace. Aroma is amazing, just a full-breath of grassy pine goodness. Flavor leaps off the palate. Very crisp, very sharp, very much grassy-pine like the aroma. Tastes incredible, finishes leaving me wanting another. Loved it!

A - A golden pilsner color. Clear, with a touch of head, but not much. A bit of sticky lace sticks to the glass.

S - Citrus and pine hops, but nothing jumps out.

T - Bitter, piny hops. Grapefruit.

M - medium body and carbonation.

O - A below average IPA. Reminds me a bit of the Sweetwater IPA, with the piny hops and grapefruit taste.

poured from the bottle into a pint glass

A - Pours a hazy orange-gold with swirls of yeast falling in intricate patterns. A good stream of bubbles come from various nucleation points to the three finger, foamy, off-white head. Head stays intact all the way down the glass. Leaves behind an intricate wall of lacing.

S - Nice citrus hop aroma of orange, mango, and pineapple upon opening the bottle. A little bit of pine shows up too once in the glass.

T - Orange-mango upfront. The body is dominated by orange citrus flavor and bright hop notes with all hints of malt banished to a dark corner to aid in mitigating the wave of hops. More snappy citrus hops as the beer passes over the back of the tongue followed by a bitter orange-mango finish.

M - A little weaker than medium bodied with ample carbonation to give a somewhat creamy mouthfeel. I would like to see this chewier.

I don't know if the pizza place I had this at was serving it too cold on draft, but the nose was much better from the bottle served at around 45 F. A real looker, and a straight forward easy drinking brew. Although I knocked off about half a point for the somewhat weak body, that characteristic along with the strong citrus flavors, and relatively low ABV compared to some of my favorites make this my go to IPA for the hotter months here in New Mexcio.

12oz bottle stamped 12 22 11 on the bottom right edge of the label. Poured into a Harpoon IPA stange glass.

Appearance - Loose white head with fine bubbling, great retention. Patchy stick and first, but becomes regular after the first few sips.

Smell - Very delicious bright floral, grass and citrus notes. Smells utterly appetizing. Light honey biscuit malt.

Taste - Very nice balance between hop and malt. Neither are overtly bold, but they aren't mild either; they play off eachother sharing the spotlight. Grassy. Lime peel bitterness, and just the perfect amount of astringency to balance it.

Mouthfeel - Bright, light to medium body. Great clean finish, with only the faintest hint of stickiness.

Overall Drinkability - This is the best single IPA I've had in a long time. One of the best.

Purchased at Libation Station, Johnson City, TN. First I bought a single...then went back for a 6 pack. 12oz brown glass pry-top. No date.

Pours a clear golden amber with thin white head. Nose is filled with a pleasant piney character and some pale caramel. Palate is immediately dry with hops, leafy, piney and bitter. There is some mellow malt underneath, rounding things out, but it comes off in a pale malt way, not obtrusive to the the hop character. Dry finish has a touch of citrus peel on it as well.

Notes: One of the best "6 pack" IPAs that I've found in a while and definitely a nice score down here in the weird lands of <6%>6% beer shopping.

Had this from a 12 oz glass and poured into a pint glass. It pours a light straw color with 3/4" white dish soap colored head. It laces the glass quite well throughout the drink. It smells very good. Definitely dry hopped well. Nice citrus aroma with a very light malt presence. The taste matches. Great hop forward flavor. Adequately carbonated and light bodied. This is definitely one of my favorite beers from NM. I've never had anything less than good from Marble BC. Thanks for another awesome brew Marble.

Bottle shared by yourefragile. Thanks Michael.

The beer is light yellow hued and moderately hazy. The head is white and measures about a half inch, leaving some decent lacing on the glass. The aroma is hop forward and inviting. Notes of citrus and tropical fruits. The scent is my favorite aspect of the beer. The flavor is good. Hop forward with a light malt component. A bit lacking in depth. Light to medium in body. Aftertaste fades quickly. Overall, a decent beer. I would have this again.

Thanks to yoruefragile for sharing this one. Served in a Fantome tulip. Reviewed from notes.

Pours a moderate orange color with a good white head and a bit of lacing. The nose brings forward some orange, citrus, and tropical fruits and a light malt presence. The flavor is about the same with the fruit coming forward and malt in the background. Medium body with good carbonation and a semi-dry finish. Pretty tasty.

Thanks Michael, I'm always up for a little IPA. Served in a Fantome glass. Beer is amber mostly hazy with a thin white head, small and medium bubbles, some lacing, mild retention.

Aroma is piny with hints of malt and some citrus hops.

Overall a decent little IPA, medium bodied, moderate bitterness, fresh fruit on the palate, mild earthiness in the midpalate, minor malt backbone. I'd have it again if it were the only IPA available at the time.

a - Pours a hazy orange color with one inch of fluffy white head and moderate carbonation evident.

s - Smells tropical fruits, citrus hops, grapefruit, fruity malts, and pine hops. Ton of fresh hops and fruit, great nose here.

t - Tastes of citrus hops, grapefruit, pine hops, fruity malts, and some decent bitterness.

m - Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nice bitter bite in the mouth.

o - Overall a really good IPA. I like the nose a lot; it was super hoppy and fresh. Would love to have it again.

Thanks to leschkie for this bottle.

A: Pours a wonderful cloudy golden orange. There is only a small white head and it thins quickly.

S: This beer smells like a complete hop bomb. I'm picking up pine, tropical fruits, and citrus. This is exactly how I want every IPA to smell. Absolutely incredible.

T: Unfortunately this beer doesn't taste as great as it smells. Huge grapefruit and bitter right up top. And that taste just doesn't fade. This brew it bitter, bitter, and then some more bitter. No surprise... the finish is bitter.

M: Medium bodied beer. The Hops coat the palate and just don't let go. I'd really like to have some more balance in this beer.

O: This beer smells amazing, but the taste is lacking. I almost feel like the brewers just threw as much hops, and as many different types of hops, into this beer as possible. It's super bitter, and that kind of ruins the possible subtleties this beer could have. I'm happy to have tried it, but I don't need another bottle.

Bottled on 9/12/11.

Poured a slightly hazy light gold with a rocky 2 finger head. This beer has excellent head retention.

There is a nice citrusy hop aroma although I feel it could be a bit more pronounced.

The taste is fairly well balanced between hop flavor and bitterness. There is a nice male character as well.

I think overall this is a pretty good IPA. It is starting to become my go-to IPA as I think it is the best one that is available to me here in northeast TN.

Poured a clear orange with just the slightest red hue. Head was white and a finger tall.

Smell is a standard grapefruity citrus, it's giving off a lot of fragrance. Taste is mildly citrus with a lot of piney bitterness. It's very smooth.

This is a very sessionable IPA that does not pucker your mouth like many others. A nice changeup.

Appearance: Light in color, a bit like an English IPA. Copper/golden tones all around.

Smell: Wet hops. Can't say I like this very much.

Taste/Mouthfeel: Definitely goes down smoothly, but that's because it's way too thin for an IPA. Taste is a lot like smell...wet/stale hops. Still, it has nice bite.

Drinkability: Not my favorite.
