Poured from a 12 oz can into Unibroue tulip. No freshness date on can, but the cans are only a couple weeks old or so, so rather fresh.

Appearance: Pours a crystal clear orange/amber color, with about 2-3 fingers of head from a hard pour, of a dense white head that dissipates to nice ring around the rim of the glass, that leaves some very nice lacing throughout.

Smell: Very citrusy, almost a fresh squeezed grapefruit, or orange, very faint pinyness in the background, and a rather subdued malty biscuit like quality.

Taste: Up front is just citrus big time, lots of grapefruit, and orange. In the middle and back of the mouth you really get the hop bitterness, and a nice astringency.

Mouthfeel: Very crisp, and clean with very nice dryness in the end that begs you to take another sip.

Overall: As Marble's slogan goes "Rock Solid Beers" this is one rock solid IPA, and a staple in my fridge. And the fact that it's now available in cans makes it all the better. At $7-$8 a 6-pack this is my go to "everyday beer".

Thanks to GHB for a couple bottles of this IPA a few weeks back. Forgot to enter reviews of it (& the IIPA, I see), so here we are. 12 oz. bottle.

Pour is clean, filtered, light orange. Active carbonation. Nice floral hops in the nose, plus faint breeze of grain, grass, & citrus. Promising.

Marble IPA is a lie-in-the bushes kind of IPA. The barefoot floral & caramel massage builds slowly into a raunchy hop kick in the chards. The sweet malt in the middle complements the hops rather than detracts from them. Bitterness sticks around like a high-school bully. My hand goes to the glass almost of its own accord.

This is an excellent beer. The transition in each sip is unique - every mouthful goes from yummy to searingly bitter. Absolutely unique. Impressed.

a murky orange-yellow pour, 1/2" of foamy white head, nice amounts of patchy lacing throughout.
smells of sweet malt, citrusy grapefruit is strong, piney hops.. has an overall citrus tang scent!
earthy bitterness up front releasing a very nice citrus/grapefruit flavor. a nice malty backbone (not actually as sweet as it smelled) balances this beer out.
medium body, high carbonation, goes down a little too easy!
a very nice subtle ipa, very reminiscent of sixpoint bengali tiger. nothing extremely special, but just a really tasty ipa!

Poured from a 12oz bottle to a tumbler

A- A nice clear dark golden color with hazy bits marbled throughout. Cool effect, not sure if it was intended. Decent head

S- Strong citrus and floral with malty background

T- Strong citrus and bitterness right off the bat. Very clean taste

M- Well carbonated and balanced

O-I enjoyed this beer a lot. Very fragrant and tasty. It my not be my first choice to have with dinner but I would definitely recommend it to the IPA lover who's looking for something new to try.

Poured a glowing, opaque gold/orange, with a billowing, tightly knit head. Smell is dominated by herbal hop essences, and while not especially citrusy, definitely some fruity tones as well. Taste is of earthy hoppiness and a bass malt profile that balances nicely. The feel is slightly sticky, leaving a lasting hop-inuced shock to the palate. Overall a great IPA!

A nice extra from GHB. Thanks!

Appearance: Pretty typical IPA appearance. Amber colored with nice clarity and solid head retention. Looks good.

Smell: This has some nice floral hop notes with a touch of citrus. There's a slight chalkiness to it that isn't necessarily unpleasant, and a touch of bready malt. While not exactly mind-blowing, it's very pleasant.

Palate: Much like the nose, this has some great floral hop flavors, a bit of citrus, and a chalky note (cascade or centennial hops, perhaps?). The mid palate brings out grainy malt and spiciness, which leads into a pleasantly bitter floral finish.

Overall: Pretty damn good.

Received as an extra in a trade. Poured into my Duvel tulip.

A - Pours a crystal clear honey amber with a nice almost two finger off white head that leaves some light side lacing.

S - Nice light hop presence here, gentle pine and some very faint malt sweetness. Some slight alcohol presence.

T - More of the light pine hops, some slight malty bread like aspects along with some alcohol notes.

M - Mouthfeel isnt all that bad, nice lingering bitter finish. Subtle carbonation.

O - Overall this isnt a bad beer from Marble Brewery. Glad I got to try it.

Draft service into a shaker pint glass at Lady Falconburgh's in Durango, CO.

A: Clear, light amber color with less than one finger of diminishing white foam head. Heavy lacing remains on the glass.

S: Weak hops suggesting orange rind and pine. Starchy maize is also present.

T: Begins off-dry, with a solid malt backbone of bread crusts and lesser caramel. Hop qualities are much more present here than in the smell, exhibiting assertive floral, grapefruit, and resinous pine aromatics. Acidity is restrained into the middle where malt and hops negotiate a fine balance. The finish is drying and pleasant; fresh herbaceous flavors compliment relatively mild bitterness.

M: Thin to medium viscosity, balanced on the palate, with low carbonation.

D/O: Although a bit underattenuated, this beer brings some appealing hop qualities if one forgives the underwhelming nose. Hops seem to revolve around a Centennial-Chinook dynamic that, while not particularly exotic, has depth and appeal.

12oz longneck
A) Pours with a finger thick head that settles some. Clear body, bronze in color. Semi-sticky lacing on the drink down.
S) Quite aromatic. Strong hops come wafting out of the glass on the pour. Citrus. Pine.
T) Hoppy from start to finish. Piney. The malts barely hang in but what there is it brings some compliment to the hops. Bitter, bitter bite in the aftertaste.
M) Crisp yet creamy mouthfeel. Medium body. Dry and tannic in the finish.
O) Overall a great rendition of a west coast IPA.
