This beer is retired; no longer brewed.

Straight from the field to the brewery, this bright, deep golden ale is a showcase of local flavor. With Bosque Farms terroir, the classic American hop, Cascade, has taken on a life of its own.

Agh, my stupid auto-fill feature spelled out my name "Alex" instead of "Ale." My bad...

Brewed especially with locally grown hops from Bosque Farms...

Appearance: Nice straw/pale golden coloration, nice translucency. Really nice head retention, and some sticky lace.

Smell: Nicely hop-forward, with some strong floral and earthy notes immediately. I detect some pine-like resinous notes along with some big malt presence. Really, a phenomenal smelling beer.

Taste: Great assertive bitterness makes itself known immediately, which includes a lot of those earthy and floral notes on the nose. The hop profile here is showcased, and the malt really comes in later in the beer to help round things out. Really nice dryness associated with the hops though, along with some hints of peach or citrus. Very nicely executed...

Mouthfeel: Fairly standard as far as Pale Ales go, nothing really blowing me away or knocking me down. The carbonation is just fine, the dryness is nice, and it's simply a comfortably drinking beer.

Overall: Very enjoyable offering! Once again, Marble has shown that they do hoppy beers extremely well, and when they're locally grown hops it's even more exciting. I hope this beer becomes a regular occurrence at the brewery. Great job Marble!
