this place is great. the atmosphere is nice. very laid back, and was easy to find a place to sit at the bar or at a table. beers are pretty much all served in the correct glassware from what i could tell, especially the belgian stuff down stairs. it was pint night when we went, so they give you a pint glass to keep when you order the beer that is on special at the time, for us it was boulder's mojo risin' double ipa on cask.

service was good also, our bartender kept a watchful eye on our glasses to make sure there was always something in 'em. the selection was great, in fact it was a shame that i was driving and couldn't try more of their brews. we ordered a couple soft pretzels that came with some local mustard, it was alright, not the greatest.

overall this is an awesome bar to come visit if you're in town and want to find some great craft beer on tap.

This is the pub that opened my eyes to what a decent downtown Asheville has. Earlier reviews give it higher marks for the basement taps, but I think they do a good job upstairs as well.

It is one of the many good beer pubs Asheville has, I always visit TM when wife is wandering the craft stores or festivals.

I also like the fact that younger bar staff treated a middle aged guy pretty well, friendly service.

The also do some food, good, but go mostly for the beer.

An open bar upstairs with lots of seating a good selection of American taps both local and regional we chose to sit downstairs where they serve Belgian sours and barrel aged brews had a nice cellar feel downstairs with a coffee house feel cool and dark with a smaller bar than upstairs and a different vibe a nice selection of sours with all the samples you would like to try , TM is a good stop especially downstairs bot nothing over the top upstairs but recommended

This seems like the kind of place that used to be great before Asheville was a great beer town. The upstairs bar was 85% American beers that are widely available nationally (or nearly nationally).

Sour fest was going on downstairs when I visited, and that selection was somewhat lacking for a bar that's supposedly world class. It was not busy, yet the bar service was slow. If you live in a decent beer town, skip this place.
