The beer is pale yellow in color. Slightly veiled. Nice foamy head on top of it. White, dense and very sticky. They way I like it. The head looks like ice cream.

The aroma is dominated by bananas and tropical fruits... more precisely citrus. Some grapefruits in there too. A very nice aroma. Inviting.

The taste is simply awesome. Citrusy, dry and some spiciness. A very good beer. Well balanced and very tasty. Refreshing beer. Carbonation is high. Medium body. Overall, this is a pretty good beer.

Bottle: Poured a hazy beige color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of wheat malt with coriander and some citrus and piney hops is quite intriguing. Taste is a mix between some strong notes of coriander mix in with a solid wheat malt backbone with a leafy citrus and piney finish. Body is full with good bottle conditioning. Not something I would rink multiple servings of in one session but well brewed with great amount of complexity.

Microbrasserie Pit Caribou - Double Wit - 7% - Gaspe, QC.

Pours out a bright yellow foggy color with nice two finger head. Looks like a typical Witbier.

Aroma has a strong hop presence with some yeast and sweet malt. There is also some slight spices, cloves, cinnamon.

Very Sour and bitter up front, not quite enough sweetness to balance so its hard to pin point other flavors at first. That might change as my palate adjusts and the beer warms a bit. Getting citrus fruit now, lemon and orange.

Body is light to medium and goes down smooth. Good carbonation, slightly frothy.

To me this was a wheat beer mixed with an IPA. The hops were powerfully bitter but not exceptionally aromatic. In the end I found it to be pretty well balanced and delicious. I would get this one again, it gave me the refreshment of a hefeweizen with the pungent bitterness of a double IPA - very nice.
