Medium: Capped.
Opacity: Completely opaque.
Color: Black.
Head: Creamy brown 2-3 finger.
Legs: Not much but good lacing and a nice swirl.
Smell: Alcohol/Toast/Toffee.
Taste: Barley/Coffee/Vanilla/Cherries/Herbal.
Feel: Roasted//Earthy/Leafy/Woody.
Body: Light to medium creamy/milky and a bit silky.
Carbonation: Moderate, fits with the style.
Overall: Decent whiskey barrel effect and quite warming (alcoholic feel).
Visual 6/10 - Flavors 7/10 - Sensations 8/10 - Balance 8/10 -
Freshness 5/10 - Intensity 8.5/10 - Complexity 8/10 - Appreciation 8/10
*Old review* Aged around 6 months : Dark brown/dark red, almost black and opaque. Creamy brown 3 finger head, lasting around 5-10 minutes, with good legs and a decent swirl effect. Flavors of chocolate, coffee, sour dark fruits, toffee, molasses, dark grains and herbal hops. Oily medium body with sharp crisp carbonation. Super strong finish, acidic and quite sour, not sure if it aged well, probably not cause it's hitting the throat like vinegar. Balsamic vinegar feel, very dry and wine like, really unbalanced. Notes of barrel, prunes and plums, with some whiskey. Down the drain, undrinkable like a powerful flanders red, also too alcoholic. Did not react well the the cellar, can't tell how good it is when fresh. Until then nice try but overall bad quality craft. Rating 2.55/5

Good ageing flavour, a tasty imperial porter. Big bubbly mocha head, and lace. Grows on me, candi and roast, and good bourbon. Bottle from Brou Ha Ha.

Got this one from Peensteen this past summer. Thanks man!
From a 50cl bottle into a snifter
APPEARANCE: Pours out a clear brown and yields a two finger, medium looking, creamy, light tan head with excellent retention. Bistre brown body, clear, with lower levels of carbonation. Head slowly fades to a full wisp and coats the sides of the glass. A faint and splotchy wisp remains until the end with dots of lacing down the glass. Nice looking, though a little light in color, even for a porter.
SMELL: Cacao, whisky, wood notes with light toffee and butterscotch.
TASTE: Whisky and toffee with wood up front. Some booze at the swallow with a bold and lingering finish of whisky, alcohol, wood and notes of toffee and butterscotch. Kind of alcoholic and less complex than hoped. Almost like they dumped whisky into their porter.
PALATE: Medium body and slightly higher levels of carbonation. Creamy on the palate, a touch light perhaps, goes down fine with a bit of a bite at the swallow and finishes dry for the style. A bit of heat lingers.
OVERALL: Seems like they dumped some a few bottles of whisky into a batch of imperial porter. Boozy and straight up whisky character in this one. Not complex or layered like many barrel aged beers tend to be. This one is well engineered, with a solid look and feel, but the main point didn't really work out. Thanks again peensteen!

A: Dark dark brown color with a mocha colored head that has medium retention and lacing. Definitely has strong alcohol legs though.
S: Well, you get a ton of bourbon straight out. You get a ton vanilla, sweetness, oak and light pepper. The porter notes are much lighter and mostly form a backbone. You get some light smokiness, a tiny bit of chocolate malts.
T: This follows the nose very well. Although it say it is "tennesse whisky", the notes here are identical to bourbon. You get a really really strong vanilla right off the bat, oak tannins, light pepper and quite a good quick of diacetyl, but it fits pretty well. The chocolate malts are there, as well as some light smoke, but it's all in the background to let the bourbon notes shine.
M: This is heavy, thick, low carbonation stuff, just the way it should be. A tiny bit too sticky for it to be perfect, but still really good.
O: Although this is not a whale, this is a really solid brew that I only have to guess got much better with the years and iterations. Right now, it is really underrated. Everyone should get their hands on it.

Pours dark, worn-in leather boot brown with a thick, creamy tan head with good retention and some lacing. The nose and taste are very similar featuring milk chocolate, roasted grain, some vanilla, and brown sugar. The finish has a decent bittering hop component helping to dry the beer out and is RIS-like (in a very good way), The body was rich and creamy and nice staying power. Overall, very surprised; given the lowish rating, I wasn't expecting such a pleasing beer!
