I've been in here twice recently. The place can sometimes have a nice atmosphere when not too crowded, but is a little cold-feeling and predictable. The service has always been fantastic - quick, curteous, and perhaps most importantly, knowledgeable! The menu is huge, although also a little predictable. Typical beer bar fare pretty much runs the show - burgers, pizza, wings, etc. However, portions are generous and both meals I've had have been a tremendous value. Delicious burgers.
As far as beer goes, I've been a little disappointed with the Beer Works. Both times I have been, they've been out of at least two beers that I really wanted to try. Also, this place is on the pricey side for a poor college student. I enjoyed the Fenway American Pale Ale & Centennial Alt, but had really hoped to try some more extreme, unique beers (especially for the price).

Been here a few times before/after Red Sox games. This place is hopping on game day. Very good craft beer selection, fun atmosphere. No outdoor seating.

I used to live around the corner from BBW - Fenway, over on Boylston, and stopped in frequently. I stopped in a few hours before a Sox game to show my daughter the old neighborhood and was very pleased to see that it hadn't changed much; it still had the same fun look and vibe, same excellent solid selection of quality beers and solid food offerings, and the same "can do" good service despite being packed at times, and great location. Really a great place to hang out with friends.

Sprawling brewpub/ sports bar around the corner from the ballpark. Multiple bars a communial table throughout. 3 different game playing while I was there... ergo very rowdy. Nice assortment of 20 beers on tap, the one I had was solid. Good service, did not try the food - looked to be typical bar fare.

I was here after a terrific Red Sox game that had them come back to score three in the ninth to beat the Cards. Needless to say the atmosphere was pumped up.
I thought the service was good considering the crowds. My bartender was able to make a recommendation for one of my party who was looking for something specific.
My beers were fresh and I thought well made. I had a hoppy red and nice stout. Prices were good considering the location.
This was a large sleek space. I liked how it wasn’t really a traditional brewpub.
I will head back next time I am near Fenway!

Standard, Granite City like brewery & restaurant. Convenient that it's right next to Fenway Park.

Classic place. Very crowded before Sox games, but definitely a better spot than some of the other places around Fenway, which can be tourist trappy. Solid pub food. Prices are decent for a "captive audience" type spot. You'll always find a fun new beer on tap here, too.

Took my father-in-law and the family here after we toured Fenway Park for Fathers Day weekend festivities. The space was quite large with tables to the side upon entering, tables on the main floor, and a large bar area to one's right. The brewing area is actually wide open on the right side when you enter the space.
Overall atmosphere seemed relaxing and social with a dark paint/industrial design with several televisions adorned across the space. Since it was not a game day, there was plenty of room in this big restaurant, but I imagine its very crowded on game days.
Menu was generally pub-based. Several sandwich and burger options and some pub dinners. I had the Beer Works Turkey Tips, which were pretty good. I enjoyed the large portions and the turkey was nicely marinated and cooked. For drinks, I decided to have the Flight #2, which consisted of the UR IPL, the Deliberation Session IPA, the Contender IPA, and the Hoppy Brown.
Service was quite good. Our waitress was very nice and attentive to our needs. She even helped pick my meal since I was undecided.
Overall, I don't have much experience drinking or socializing near Fenway, but this seemed like a nice place to have a few drinks and eat before, during, or after a game.
