Inspired by the Wonderland Trail, an exhilarating 93-mile trek around Mount Ranier, this beer honors the treasures of the Pacific Northwest. Blending Washington-grown Amarillo, Citra, Mosaic and Cascade hops, the sweet aroma of tangerine is followed a wave of citrus and passionfruit.

Served On-Tap in a 16oz tapered pint glass

A — Pours a lightly hazy orangey amber hue into the glass. A nice off-white head sits on-top and leaves some nice lacing behind with each sip.

S — Smell is great here, loads of juicy hops, piney, resinous. Bold and assertive without being unbalanced, though it is a bit monotone and mostly focused on bitter citrus notes.

T — Much like the nose, great notes of juicy, semi-sweet hops, balanced with a piney kick and a resinous finish, errs on the single focus of citrus and bitter lime, not bad at all, just a bit monotone.

M — Medium bodied, sticky & lingering finish.

O — Very nice overall, one of the better offerings I've had from Two Beers, would seek out again.

12 Oz can. No date on can or cardboard packaging.

Pours a clear gold body that quickly dissipated. Some small carbonation observed . But Zero retention, no lacing.

Smell is astringent. I'm getting some faint hops (Mosaic?) A little whiff of malt that's just under the radar.

Tastes as it smells which isn't all that great.

Thin feel.

Overall; The 3's of this rating are overly generous. With no packaging information provided I have to assume it's just not a fresh sample so I'll give it a C. Not bad enough for a drain pour. But not really looking forward to the other 5 beers in this six pack...

Clear body with a bright golden hue; decent carbonation; lasting one-finger thick head. Very faint hop aroma; pine and floral notes discernible. Big fruity taste initially, berries and melon giving way to a nice hop bitterness sliding into the finish. Medium-light body; crisp.

Except for the lack of strong aroma, this beer is well-crafted and tasty.

Pours a bright & effervescent gold with one finger of cream colored head. No head retention or lacing

S: Slight breadyness, a little citrus

T: Plenty of tangerine & grapefruit up front, plus some bready dryness. Sweet cakeyness with a little woody pine & grapefruit as this warms, some pineapple too. Finishes with pineapple & a little dryness

MF: Medium body, moderate carbonation, good balance

Easy to drink, solid IPA

Poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-dark copper color with a finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off pretty quick. Lots of messy lace strewn about.
The aroma had some pine to floral hop qualities over top of a delicate caramel/toffee sweet to grainy sort of character. Light toast at the very end.
The flavor was moderately sweet blending the graininess to the caramel/toffee qualities and then the piney to floral hop character came in underneath. Mild sweet sort of aftertaste of the cracker/caramel/toffee blend.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Appropriate bitterness levels.
Overall, pretty good AIPA that I could come back to if offered.

12oz can, no obvious canning date, but it's been in a cooler. Served in a snifter glass. Pours a dark copper body, fairly dark, one finger thick white head, good retention and lots of lacing. It just looks way too dark. Smell is caramel, grain, toffee, light floral and pine notes. It's fairly straight forward, balanced. Flavour is similar, fairly average but a nice balance between a grainy cracker, caramel and toffee sweetness with a fair bit of floral and piney notes. Lighter medium body, good carbonation, floral and sort of leafy bitterness on the finish. Solid IPA, above average, with fairly standard hop and malt profiles. Really, really dark copper body though, that throws me off some.

Appearance is hazy, some floaty bits, but also nice light golden color. Not the prettiest, but does make me want to dive further in. Nice head and lacing. The aroma is great. Big tropical fruit, citrus, grass. Smells like a fruit salad almost. The taste is also quite delicious. Not a lot of bitterness from beginning to end, which I love. Very bright and savory, lots of mango. A nice malty level of sweetness just to keep you coming back for more, but not too much. The mouthfeel is smooth, right on with the carbonation. Overall this is one of my favorite IPA's that I am able to get regularly. Maybe not quite Heady Topper, but you know what is?
