Crafted for those who find their life to be less than predictable. This complex Belgian-style wheat beer is a tribute to the often crooked nature of our existence. Coriander, Orange Peel and Hops entertain your tongue and conjure up spicy, sweet and bitter moments that carry us beyond happily ever after.

This witbier hurls carbonation with such force that a counter-turbulence causes the bubbles to stumble in their ascent. It's like the beer's gone mad with carbonation giving a firm carpet of brilliant white head no trouble in keeping afloat. Clove-spice phenols (at first) and then banana esters are uncommonly potent. They're almost excessive.

The body is sulfur-daisy yellow and smooth contoured with a taste that emulates the smell but tends to fade before long. Crooked is almost too sharp for its own good. But it certainly won't bore you.

Poured a rich gold with a finger of creamy white head. Mild aroma of banana and yeasty spice.

Carbonation was on the low side and the mouthfeel was light, even for a witbier. It almost bordered on watery, but the flavor helped to compensate for the somewhat lacking mouthfeel and aroma. Some nice caramel notes up front balanced by some creamy wheat, banana, and a little pepper. Drinkable and light, but could use a little more impact.

Poured a honey color with good carbonation leaving a small white head. Nose is wheat, clove, belgian yeast. Taste is a blend of belgian yeast, light booze, coriander, wheat and some citrus. Mouthfeel is a nice feel crisp, feel, light, very drinkable. Mouthfeel is nice with clove, some light citrus.

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a cloudy light yellow, not the typical white that the name promises, with less than an inch of white head that dissipates quickly and leaves no lacing.

The expected aromas were present, but softer and more muted than is typical for the style. The flavor profile was similar but had more taste than the aroma had led me to expect.

The body is what you look for in a Wit, smooth, pleasing and easy going. There was more carbonation on the tongue than is typical for the style. As is true of most Wits this is a very drinkable beer, this style is perhaps my favorite summer beer. Overall , worth trying if you see it.
