This beer is retired; no longer brewed.

Roundhaus presents with a light straw colour and a nice white frothy head. The nose is subtle with a slight graininess and an aromatic citrus lead. The flavour is dominated by hops with light malty depth. The mouth-feel is a very effervescent with the typical lager snap and clean finish.

Haven't tried a beer from them in a long time, figured I would drop by and try a seasonal.

Pours a very light, clear straw yellow with a thin white head.

Smells of bready malts, grassy hops and some slight citrus.

Bready malts upfront, some sweetness, followed by some real grass like character, along with a nice refreshing citrus rind aftertaste. Very delicious, better than I was expecting.

Overall it's pretty good, could use more hops, but very refreshing and drinkable.

500 mL bottle, slightly chilled and poured into a Duvel tulip.
Best before date: June.13/2011

Appearance- Pours a golden straw yellow colour with a big soapy two and a half fingers of white head that very slowly dissipates to a nice bubbly top leaving lots of spider web lacing throughout the glass till finish.

Smell- Is a lot like any typical pilsner out there on the market with lots of bready malts, with a sweet citrus smell to it as well.

Taste- Just like the smell, lots of bready malts hit you right away and it follows up typical to a lot of Railway City brews with their almost signature sweet fruity flavour.

Mouthfeel- Light bodied and very well carbonated, very easy drinking as well.

Overall- Another great offering here from Railway City, a seasonal beer that’s brewed in small limited batches, very similar in taste to both the Ironspike and a touch of the Dead Elephant but a bit more on that lighter side from the latter. All in all a very solid pilsner, I am impressed.

Thoroughly enjoyed this pilsener at the brewery, as it had the Czech hop flavour and bitterness I associate with decent pilseners. Unfortunately these hops have faded and the bottle I am currently enjoying does not leave the same finish.

Colour is flaxen gold with a copious white head. Mouthfeel pleasant and therefore unremarkable. Aroma is malty and bready sweetness, much changed since the brewery visit. Likewise the flavour is now sweet up front with a bitter aftertaste.

Thought Railway City had knocked it out of the park with this recipe and its accuracy to the style, but clearly best enjoyed fresh.

Pale straw colour, one finger white head, sticky with some lace. Smell is lightly citrusy, lemon, bready malt, earthy floral hops. Taste is of citrus and tangerine, hops, malty, lemon, floral and grassy earthy finish. Medium carbonation, medium body, nice weight. Drinkable and quite nice one of the better brews I have tried from these guys.

Appearance - Standard yellow beer with almost no head on a vigorous pour. Within thirty seconds there is absolutely no head. A few fine carbonation bubbles are visible.

Smell - Sweet and bready with a tinge of spicy-citrus hops.

Taste - Bready with some fruity notes, amost no bitterness, and a lingering malty finish.
