473ml can - part of a swath of new offerings from this brewery to recently arrive in Alberta. Not a lot of examples of this sort of thing available around here.
This beer pours a clear, dark cola brown colour, with two fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and mildly bubbly tan head, which leaves a few instances of coral reef atoll lace around the glass as it quickly blows off.
It smells of roasted caramel malt, bitter cocoa powder, day-old coffee grounds, ethereal black stone fruit, and some plain earthy, herbal, and floral green hops. The taste is gritty and grainy cereal malt, acrid stale coffee, dollar store dry chocolate, some free-range wet ashiness, faint dark generic fruit, and more understated earthy, musty, and dead floral hoppiness.
The carbonation is adequate in its basic cable frothiness, the body a decent medium weight, and sort of smooth, as that hovering char takes a sizeable chunk out of the ideal here. It finishes trending dry, the roasted character predominating.
Overall - this comes across as a fairly solid rendering of the style, lots of flavour for something with the word 'mild' in the name. It might get a bit too dry by the end to make me want to session it, but I'm certain that the rest of y'all's mileage may vary.

Got this one on a saturday night. I forgot to write down my appreciation. I don't have any recall of the taste. I remember liking it but not more than that.
I would need to try it again.

Poured from a 473mL can into a pint glass.
A - Pours a very dark color with some copper hint. The 2 finger off-white creamy head has a decent retention and leaves a bit of lacing on the glass.
S - Smell is very nice, mostly malty upfront but I pick out some good herbal notes and dark fruits besides.
T - Very soft and gentle taste. Malty, subtle hop notes and a nice roasted coffee and cacao finish.
M - Excellent mouthfeel. Surprisingly full bodied for a 5% ABV with an perfect carbonation and nice warming alcohol notes at finish.
O - A very nice beer with a good balance between flavors and an excellent drinkability. Worth seeking out!

The beer is dark brown in color. Some reds note on the edge. The foamy head is nice looking and very tenacious. It looks like burnt cream. The aroma is dominated by roasted malts. On the taste, some hazelnuts with traces of roasted malts. The finish is a little sugary... strange. Very thin in the mouth. Refreshing. Easy to drink. A good session mild ale for those who like their beers to be dark. Only downside is the sugary notes in the finish.

Got this in Quebec City.
Poured from a 473ml. can.
Appearance: A bit of a gusher with a massive mocha-colored head filling 3/4 of the glass. Creamy and bubbling. The light brown pour belies the actual color which is an opaque brown with a slight cherry wood color on the bottom. Chunks of lacing cling to the glass. Lookin' nice!
Smell: Reserved at first but roasted malt, baker's chocolate and coffee cream come out.
Taste: Some graininess and metallic tinges. Very mute at first. Mild coffee bitterness and some dark fruit come out but it's a stretch.
Mouthfeel: Way too active carbonation. Hurts the tongue a little. Calms down a tad to reveal some smoothness.
Overall: Again the watered down effect with the brewery though this offering is better. The carbonation is too strong and the flavors are not very present but there's something to build on here anyways.
