A- Pours a bright, crystal clear gold color with a fluffy, two-finger head that sticks around for a longtime. Leaves nice sticky lacing.
S- Lost of doughy bread aromas with hints of honey. Light aromas of Pils malt mixed with some peppery Noble hop aromas.
T- Sweet malty/grainy flavor in the beginning. A light spicy hop flavor keeps the malt in check and carries through to the finish. The finish has a nice combo of biscuity malt flavors and peppery hops. A hint of green grape flavor is present in the finish as well. A malt centric brew.
M- This has a medium texture on the palate and has just the right amount of carbonation to keep it from becoming too full/thick.
D/O- A growler of this would feel right at home next to the sixers of Stoudt's Gold in my fridge. A very good and faithful interpretation of a Munich Helles from Roy Pitz. For a couple of young guys that haven't even hit the big three O yet, their doing an incredible job when it come to German Ales/Lager. If you're a fan of Munich Helles and you see this beer, give it a go. Prost!
