A pint glass at T Brendan O'Reilly.
A: The pale ale is a golden amber color, pale but with the heft of darker malts. Still translucent, it could pass for copper. A thin white head atop the beer leaves rows of lace behind.
S: The nose, has caramel and toffee along with a subtle dose of citrus. The hops, present, are relaxed, strong but not overwhelming. Clearly favoring the malt.
T: Well-balanced? Check. The toffee and caramel as sweet, syrupy in their consistency. Hops ride shotgun, an ever-present but silent co-conspirator. Citrusy grapefruit and bread swirl throughout, neither one taking the upper hand. Even the finish smacks of both the chewy and the hoppy.
M: Nice combination of malt flavors. A tad sweet at times though. The general hoppiness is comforting, a good sipper.
O: A good brew from Roy Pitz. Again. I fear that I've been underestimating them.

A - Semi clear, orange tinted amber body...small, white head that turned into a wispy cap rather quickly...a solid bead that lead to some decent lacing
S - Butterscotch candy...that's right!...a sweet nose with toffee and caramel also present...hops are pretty non existent
T - It's sweet right off the bat...the toffee and caramel flavors follow from start to finish...again, the butterscotch candy is there...the middle of the beer presents a bready flavor and texture...the hops are trying at the end...they come out more at the finish once the beer warms up
M - Medium bodied...oily, sweet, and creamy
D - I had this at O'Reilly's in Harrisburg and had to find the beer on Roy Pitz's website...they say it's a double hopped pale ale...I didn't get too much of the hops...I feel the malts played a big role in this...and I was caught off guard by the big butterscotch presence
