Fairly large space directly across from the Colorado State campus. Easy to find. Good beer on tap and a nice bottle selection. The food is excellent. Only downside is the slow service on a crowded night.

I've been to Cafe Vino a few times and really enjoy it. Food is served mainly in tapas fashion, but some tasty and gourmet options. I usually stick with the beer and love that they always offer flights for $7. 4 small pours of any of the 20 taps. They always have something I want on tap and I see Pliny there quite often. On top of that they usually have St. Bernardus Abt 12, which is one of my favorites, as well as an Odell or New Belgium beer that you don't find at most bars.

I absolutely love the big table w/ the fire pit in the middle on the patio.

I went here recently with some friends for tapas and drinks. It was a nice warm night so we sat outside on the patio, which I can highly recommend (except for the traffic noise).

The food is good and there are a lot of nice choices for sampling. We didn't order any entrees but the apps were tasty.

The beer is list is well-constructed with many interesting offerings. Locals dominate, as they should with so many great breweries in the area, but there are also a number of Belgians, imports, and other craft brews on tap.

My one gripe, I ordered a Maharaja because, it had just come out and I knew it would be outstanding fresh and on tap. What was served to me was anything but. When I tasted it, I could tell it was Avery's Karma and was not impressed. So, even though it was slightly embarassing to bring it up, I let the server know it wasn't what I ordered. She went back to the bartender, asked, and came back to let me know they were out of the Maj.

Anyway, I thought it was rather unprofessional to serve something I didn't order in what felt like they were trying to sneak one by me.

So overall a good place. I just happened to have an off bartender but I would probably go back anyway.

CV has a decent atmosphere, but this is interesting to me - back in 99, my fraternity almost purchased the building and it was quite the place at the time. While I have not explored above ground level, it does appear that improvements have been made. Nice; the music is not overly loud and in your face. A nice patio is avail for nice weather. Around a dozen taps on hand, and the only bogey I saw was a single Bud tap at one end. Service was a little sparce but perhaps we were not the center of attention that night. Good selection of beers on tap and on the bottle menu, however they may have been a little on the spendy side of things. Perhaps that goes with the visual experience, as this place is nicer than a normal bar for that area (similar to Elliots).

Cafe Vino has some great stuff on tap. Had La Fleur Misseur and a Hennipen. Wife had a nice wit. A good variety of beers and styles. Belgians, local favorites, Stone and other craft beers. Proper glassware. The bartenders knew the beer pretty well. The one hang up is probably the price. It is a coffee/ wine bar and very trendy. Cost of the beer is reflected in that trendiness. Defineatly worth a trip to check it out. Would like to try the tapas, they look good. My wife and I like to hang out on the patio and look out to College and watch the world go by. Makes a good date night.

Cafe Vino is a new place right across from campus on College Ave. Relatively easy to find only two blocks from Prospect I would warm you though that parking can be a pain depending on when you go. Either packed for students or packed from the dinner crowd. But if you don't mind walking two blocks or so you are ok. A more commercial building but the restaurant is located on the first level and easy to find. Once in side, its more of a glorified coffee joint with small tables, a quant fireplace and a decent bar in the back. There is a patio as well, but have not been out there yet. Typically I find myself going towards the bar as you can pear into a cool walk in wine cooler.

The beer selection is mostly locals and Belgian imports. 20 beers on taps with Odells, New Belgium, Stone, Avery, Duchesse, Chimay, Saison DuPont, Lindeman's and St. Bernardus among others. A bit pricey but some of the more costly items (example St. Bernie's) is the same as any liquor store. One visit, we sampled St Bernardus, and I swear the beer tasted as if it had aged a year or so, very nice. We went out after wards and compared it to a bottle and the shelf and it was much better.

The staff was friendly enough. It can be hit or miss with how well the staff knows their beers. Usually they are more familiar with the wine crowd. The food mostly consists of tapas (appetizers etc). You can make certain tapas into a meal but really it isn't that much food. The food quality though is outstanding. Very good, gourmet quality.

Overall, this is one of the new hottest places to go in Fort Collins. A nice, ritzy place but I would not suggest to go for dinner. Maybe a pre dinner location for a small meal and good beer.
