A- a clear, medium gold. A light white head on the initial pour doesn't last long.

S- Malty and sweet. Reminded me of English Pale Ales I've had previously

T- The same malty sweetness, with some fruit notes, reminded me of grape/golden raisins. There is a nice little bit of hop bitterness on the finish.

M- No carbonation noted. Smooth throughout.

O- a pretty accurate and tasty recreation of an English pale ale. Not intended to be hop-forward.

Consumed on 3-5-10 at the wonderous Popeye's in Ryogoku from a limited edition cask.

A - Headless. Only the tiniest faint white soapy bubbles in a thin film on the top and sides of the glass. Color was tangerine and amber.

S - Fruity. A few faint puffs of hops. Reminded me of some APAs.

T - Cedar chips, lemonade, mild malt, dry hopped rasp gave it it's final bitterness.

M - Like flat soda. It's watery. Yes, granted it's a cask, but it's really watery. I've had it in the bottle and it was watery then too so it's not the cask's fault. Left a thin coat of sugar on my teeth.

D - This beer is acceptable just for the novelty of having it in a cask. But it's otherwise unnoteworthy.
