From 06/07/12 notes. They brought a keg of this to Lupulin at RFD in Washington, DC. Said it was their barleywine "Road Kill" after aged in barrels and soured.
a - Pours a deep amber brown color with one inch of off white head and low carbonation evident.
s - Smells of brett, sour fruits, dark fruity malts, wood, cherries. Nose is very nice, and a ton of brett which I love.
t - Tastes of bourbon, oak, brett, sour dark fruits, tart cherries, fruity malts, wood. Like the nose but less brett and more bourbon. Just as nice.
m - Medium body and low carbonation. Scarily easy to drink for 14% ABV.
o - Overall a really nice soured, BA beer. Nose is nice and sour with lots of brett, and the taste is great too. Everything worked well together here; would love to have it again.
