Poured with a thin, nearly film, choclate brwon head which drops to a ring. Very dark brown, almost black color.
Smell was disappointing as there was very little of it, just a very slight coffee whiff and a hint of oatmeal.
Taste was a good strong roasted coffee at first, with a slight dark chocolate flavor showing up later. Also some hint of oakiness and alcohol.
Mouthfeel was creamy, medium/full bodied and smooth.
Drinkability is good but not great. Not a complex brew, nor very well balanced. I would have liked to try the other stout to compare but was unable to.

This is a new, and hopefully frequent offering from Cap City. It is both an oatmeal, and a milk stout.

Beer was served in a standard, Cap-City logo'ed pint glass. Very dark, almost black in color. Very little head. Smell was deceptive - it revealed a sweet beer with a hint of malt domminance, but was not as complex as the brew really was. Taste was a unique treat. Both the oatmeal style and the lactose milk stout were readily identifiable. The two tastes combined and reinforced each other. Very complex and very tastey! Great mouthfeel, and very, very quaffable. I will need to get back before the taps run out on this one.
