Having family living in Claremont and seeing the Green Acres Market review here, I decided to check the place out over the Columbus Day Holiday. With much anticpation I went down to Opera House Square and found that they are no longer in business. They are CLOSED!!!. So, I give them a "C" for closed. That's to bad, for there are not many places in Claremont where you can buy good craft beers. Hell, they only have one sit down bar that I know of and thats Ramuntos Pizza, to be reviewed at a later date.

This place is a cafe with a store around it. Their focus is on coffee, wine and fine cheese offerings. They have one cooler door of beer, at the back of the store. The other two doors contain local and organic sodas and chilled wines for take home. The beer selection is pretty good for the space devoted to it. Beer selections included Chimay, Ommegang, Guinness, Long Trail, Harpoon, Old Peculiar, and a few others which I can not think of at the moment.
The guy working there was very pleasent and offered to help find anything I may be looking for or answer any questions upon entering the store. He informed me of upcoming beer, wine and cheese tastings. He showed me to a guest log to join the e-mailer.
Overall a great store that is worth the stop if you are in Claremont.

A great addition to the claremont downtown, stocking several belgian selections as well as american counterparts. i think they have the full spread of unibroues, ommegang and chimay. but their cold beer cooler is constantly changing with the season and a good selection of new england brews are represented. don't get me wrong, the total selection numbers maybe 6 to 7 breweries and 15 or so beers in total. but still a very cool place or rather a haven in this wasteland they call the upper valley. the place is family owned and run. just to add, the food selection is really solid for the area, tons of imports, great cheese and great bread on mondays. definitly worth a stop if you're in the area.
