Sampled at the brewery. Pours a dark mahogany brown color with darker hues through out. A soft white head with limited retention. Great clarity.
The nose is light but a soft Munich malt undertone is there. Some hints of chocolate and a light yeast undertone. No real off notes but a hint of esters is there.
The taste is similar. The Munich note comes out a bit more with a hint of cara-Munich and chocolate. Some malty undertones and hint of bready notes. A bit light in taste overall but a nice malty base. A just hint of astringency and light yeast finish.
The body is moderate to moderately light. Would like just a touch more sweetness but a clean finish. Overall a very nice dunkle.

The beer pours a dark amber/brown color with a thick frothy offwhite head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a nice raisony caramel malt and yeast aroma. It's a bit warm with loads of esters. The taste is great. It has a very smooth malty flavor that goes down real smooth and finishes dry with some raisony fruit flavors. The mouthfeel is good. It is a full bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a very drinkable dubbel. It's smooth and flavorful with nice complexity. Nice job.
