12 oz. bottle poured into a cervoise glass

Pours a light golden amber capped with a two finger bright white head. Slightly above average retention, no lacing. Grassy hops, light almond, and a hint of caramel. Opens with grass, hay, hints of nuts and toffee midpalate. Finishes fairly crisp and clean. Light bodied, fairly slick with moderate, gentle carbonation. A solid, easy drinking English style pale ale. Very enjoyable.

Potosi is making a move into Iowa.

Pours a pretty dark body gold with brown hues. Not enough head to give it a higher score.

Nose is malty and metallic.

Taste is malty but not over the top. Some toastiness and hints of hops. Nice and fresh tasting. An easy to drink beer, but not one that stands out.

12oz bottle.

A: Clear medium amber body with a finger of off-white head. Mediocre retention and lacing. Pretty average.

S: Straightforward, robust pale malt. Bread crust, cracker, and grain husk. A hint of caramel sweetness and some faint fruity hops. Solid.

T: Follows the nose; more malt than hops, but never too sweet. Long, lightly bitter finish. Nothing exciting, but tasty all the same.

M: Fairly light bodied and spritzy. A little too superficial to match the flavor.

O: Forgettable but enjoyable.

Cheers!

The label says all proceeds go to charity. Have to try a beer for a worthy cause.

Burnt orange in color with a creamy off white head that reduces rather quickly. Leaves quite a bit of lace on the glass.

The smell is pretty light and is mainly nutty with some sweet bready notes.

Much like the nose. Sweet bread with toasted nuts and a light banana taste. Mild hop bite as well.

A smooth feeling medium bodied beer with a dry finish.

Drinks well and is a nicely crafted beer. Not sure how well this fits an ESB, but still worth a try.

Pours a darker amber color, not a whole lot of head. Smells like caramel with a bit of citrus. Tastes of caramel as well. Definitely some bitterness in the finish but not too bad. Relatively smooth drinking beer. Not a lot of drinkability in this beer as far as quantity, but it's a decent beer and definitely worth a try.

Bought at the brewery (22 oz bottle)
a: pale golden color
s: mild nose, not overpowering with malt nor hops, hint of corn?
t: clean, crisp and very light in body - good balance between malt and hops, slight bitter finish - more of an English-style ale with not overpowering bitter American hop finish - hint of corn in aftertaste?
m: clean, crisp and light
d: I'd classify this more towards a British session beer, light in body and taste

I found this at the Binny's store in Bloomingdale, IL. Bought it as part of a build-your-own six pack for $9.99, making this single 12oz bottle $1.67. No freshness date.

The beer poured a slight;y hazed golden/orange color and made a ½-finger of white head that dissipated in less than 30 seconds. I also did not get any lacing on my glass.

The taste is all malt and delicious. Bready and caramel flavors dominate along with a touch of butter. At just 10 IBU's, the hops are not noticeable to me and there wasn't a trace of hop botterness. Still it was pretty tasty.

Smooth, creamy, and medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Sweet without being cloying. I enjoyed it.

Clear golder hued glinting at amber. An ecru head sprouts up, then fades to a collar at a moderate pace.
Soft nose of caramel-glazed nuts, toasted apple muffins, grain bread, and low grassy hop notes.
It enters the mouth teetering between the grainy, hay-like, biscuit dryness, and caramel/toffee/honey-nut sweetness. The hops kick in, just a little, and swing it back dryish with their late grassiness.
Medium bodied, with a moderate CO2 level that makes it drink and seem smaller than it is.
Easily quaffed, but without any real frills. Mellow and neutral. In the right mood, a person could guzzle this all night. Other days, it might cause the mind to wander in boredom to something else.

Served tap into a shaker

A: Dark amber with a small tan head.

S: Slight malty sweetness, grain- I am not getting a lot of aroma from this one.

T: Sweet with a slight dry bitterness. Bsicuity/bready notes and a smooth finish.

M: Well carbonated and bubbly, does not stick in the mouth but has some body.

D: Pretty easy to drink, not my favorite of the style but not at all a bad beer.

Serving type: on-tap
