Thanks to dimenhetfield for this one!
12oz brown glass pry-top bottle. 2010 on front label. "HMFL: 1838A" stamped on shoulder.
Appearance: A hazy amber gold with some thin bone-white head. No lacing or spotting.
Nose: Rich fruit Belgian yeast. Smells dense and creamy with some bready notes and a little spice (coriander?).
Palate: Crisp with some acidity (orange peel?). Big bold Belgian yeast and fluffy carbonation. Orange is a predominant flavor with some lemon zest backing it up. Herbal notes round things out and the finish is moderately long.
Notes: Seriously impressed with this beer. Never heard of it before, but this was a very pleasant first experience. I would happily drink this again.
Serving type: bottle
