Poured a dark amber/copper liquid with very little head. I expected more from a "Belgian Style" brew.
Seems like there is a lot going on in this beer. A little too spicy for my taste.
At 10% ABV it is a Feel Good beverage.LOL
Overall; Glad I tried it but I'll be moving on to better ones.

12 ounce bottles return to the shelves of Total Wine after an extended absence. I poured one out into a snifter.
Seems they tweaked the recipe a little bit, and the result is pretty good.
Nice foamy head.
Smells delicious. Spicy and Belgian yeast.
I think they added a little extra hops to go with this big 10%.ABV and it rounds the experience out.
Happy to see it back.

12oz bottle, undated, poured into a 14oz stemless wine glass.

The beer pours an amber color, moderate opacity with a honey hue and a little layer of off white head that offers no retention or lacing. The aroma is nice, strong caramel and amber malts, strong Belgian yeast, clove, light spice, a bit of vanilla and modest noble hop. The flavors are good, lots of caramel malt, thick and chewy with light earthy hop oil, strong yeast, clove, allspice, nutmeg and vanilla. The mouthfeel is good, coating, lively, medium bodied with a nice tangy dry bite.

Verdict: A solid Belgian Strong Pale Ale from Holy Mackerel. Pretty straight to style, easy going but full of flavor and character.

On-tap at City Works, Doral, FL

A: The beer is crystal clear amber yellow in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that left a patch of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of candi sugars are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and is somewhat sweet with flavors of candi sugars and apples with hints of pale malts.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer tastes like a hybrid between a Belgian Dubbel and a Belgian Strong Pale Ale. It hides its alcohol very well.

Non scientific rating. But I really like this beer. I had it sitting in my refrigerator for probably 8 months, finally drank it because I was out of my favorite beer everyday beer.
Appearance is nice. Nose is not overly sweet. Seemed like I could taste the alcohol. Which I like. But it was extremely smooth. No bite and a pleasant feel and aftertaste. Felt like cream soda in my mouth with a pleasant slight boozy taste on the back of my tongue and in my nose. I will definitely consider making space for this beer in my refrigerator.

A very sweet beer, not unlike a real Cafe Cubano, which it is modeled on. It pours a dark golden color with little head. The nose is coffeeish with a sweet taste throughout the glass. The mouth feel is smooth.

2016 12 oz bottle purchased and consumed in Florida.
Slightly hazy copper body with a good off-white head and ample lacing.
Near medium body with lively carbonation.
Fruity and floral aroma with only hints of the 10% ABV.
Moderately complex flavor for style with a nice dynamic. Sweet and fruity with hints of bread, peaches and tropical fruits.

Overall: dangerously easy drinking with rather well hidden alcohol. Improved with some warming.

L- Copper color wit a thin head
Smell-Big boozy smell with a bubble gum scent.
Taste- Classic belgium taste. Gum, fruitiness. But you can really taste the alcohol.
Feel- Very thin, leave a burn in the back of the mouth(@ 55 degree F). Feels like a slow sipper!!

Overall- This better is not bad, but is it isn't great either. It's pretty much OK. That alcohol burn is a bit to much for me. I would probably be better on a cold winter night. But I don't think I would go out of my way to get more.

Pours a quickly dissipating, thin off-white head over a deep copper body. Nose is pure mustiness. Treacly, perhaps too much so, with a chalky aftertaste. Thin mouthfeel. Not bad, but not particularly good, at least as far as whatever Belgian style it's aiming at. While the label contends its a "fusion" of a saison and a tripel, it bears only a passing resemblance to either in the taste department -- though that's overwhelmed by the high sugar content -- and neither in the looks department given the copper color. A sweet BSDA? A quad? Hard to say. At least the booze is hidden somewhat by the sugar, although there's still a definite hotness.
