Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a rather nice head that leaves a clump of lacing behind
Smell: Herbal elements dominate, with treacly sweetness underneath; fruity tones, as well, with orange peel and a hint of green banana
Taste: The treacly sweetness lays down a base, with orange peel, green banana and coriander developing in the middle; after the swallow, the beer gets very hot, with the fusel alcohol dominating the finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied and sticky, with moderate carbonation
Overall: Very unbalanced and unpleasant to drink; too sweet and too hot; I would have a panic attack if forced to finish the bottle

Picked this up as part of a mixed 6'er at Bottle Cap's in Daytona
A - Amber with a white foam head that settles to a thin 1/8". Lacing spots the glass.
S - Smells of sweet fruits and syrup with a bready cake aroma from the yeast.
T - Sweet fruit flavor gives to a sherry-like finish complete with a burn. A bit too heavy handed in the finish. Clearly BA classified this better as a Belgian pale than some odd "saison-tripel fusion" as the label says. Belgian yeast gives it a tartness with a slight amount of funk.
M - Just literally a hot mess. Too much spice notes and alcohol that isn't masked. One glass is more than enough.
O - Was glad to try but I'll pass. It is really not true to any Belgian style and is far too heavy to be enjoyable. Not terrible, but not solid by any means.

I have learned on my business trip to Huntsville, AL that I am an aficionado of 10% alcohol by volume beer. Some may call it licorice to their tastes, but I love the stuff - I'm definitely a 10%er. This brew from my home state of FL has a dark, rich color with a nice tan-hued head. It's smell is has a distant scent of cinnamon, spice, and some coriander (I think.) The taste, though, is what just draws me back. I don't know if it's the types of hops or malts, or maybe it's the high alcohol content, but whatever it is - I like it.
