Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a cloudy, dark amber color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of spices, some fruits. Taste is spices, malts, light fruits, just a hint of alcohol. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a good quality beer.

not a real big fan of this one. the label suggests its a belgian tripel meets a saison, and maybe i agree, but its all over the place, and not real palatable. its way more tripel than saison, sweet and thick, brightly carbonated though and it looks a lot better than it smells or tastes. its got a yeasty boozy aromatic, why is this so strong? no need for it, and it makes the beer feel cheap and gimmicky to me. sweet wheat malt, and there must be some dextrose added. the yeast is american belgian, like some of those weird belgian ipas, but this one doesnt bring the hops that it needs to taste balanced. its just a mess for me, boozy harshly, and just not all that good. i really wanted to drink as much local beer as possible on my trip, but this one really let me down. man, i got heavily buzzed it seemed off of one of these.

While this brew didn't cause a panic attack, I confess I was a bit buzzed by it. Having just finished a Yuengling Summer Ale with my dinner, a friend offered me the Holy Mackerel. So, I drank it. This beer has a wonderful dark golden appearance, but would I have another? No. It's syrupy sweet flavor reminded me of that "nighttime, sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, stuffy head, fever, so you can rest medicine." If those symptom occur, however, yes I'd have another.

A: Dark orange/amber; No head
S: Citrus/Apple, faintly sweet
T: Tiny, bitter kick; refreshing citrus (and almost woody) aftertaste
M: Surprisingly mild for 10% ABV! Thicker than most but it still creeps up on you.

Hardly seems as strong as it is. Moderate bite yet still has some personality.

Purchased from one of the local cigar lounges.

A: A slightly amber/orange golden with moderate head and retention.

S: Slightly malt forward and sweet.

T: Pretty sweet flavor, (honey?) Mild hop and a little bit floral.

M: Mild carbonation and somewhat rich.

O: Not a great beer but not awful. Probably won't buy again.
