Hit up the Dig Pub on a late February Friday night with some friends.
Crowded by 6:30pm, there is little but standing room in the intimate, triangular-shaped bar. Thankfully, within the next two months or so, the Dig Pub is expanding to twice the size and (somehow) three times the capacity. They certainly need it.
Waitstaff is fantastic, though. Exceptional service all night, and our waitress even tended to us while our group of 4 was huddling around the corner of the bar, notifying us when a seated group was about to leave. Very talkative and friendly, and actually made the visit much more enjoyable.
Selection isn't the most extensive in the Austin area, but it definitely holds its own. I was a little disappointed that some of the seasonal rarities they listed were out of stock, but was happy to get a pint of Bear Republic's Heritage Scotch Ale. The Widmer '10 Black IPA was tasty on-tap, too, and I walked away with a CHEAP ($11) growler fill of (512)'s IPA.
Food was on the more expensive side of things, with a $9.00 supreme pizza that I easily demolished (and I'm not a big eater). Cheese plate was $5, but worth it as it came equipped with olives, peanuts, sliced apple, and lots of crackers.
All in all, a great little hide-away in the Cedar Park area. Will definitely be revisiting in the near future, but probably not until they expand their seating options.

Considering the location and size it provides a good selection. All they have are craft with rotating taps. If you are looking for a place with a good selection without going into Austin give it a shot. Only down side is the services is slow unless you are sitting at the bar.

A: Very clean, and they only serve micro brews and a small selection of wine, nothing else, great place for craft beer lovers.
Q: They rotate about 40 crafts in and out, 10 local and 30 of the finest brewers you'd want.
S: Top notch service, fast, friendly, and knowledgeable.
S: 40 craft brews constantly rotating, can't ask for much more.
F: Small selection, but good quality. Upscale "bar fair".
V: $5 - $6 a beer average. Daily happy hour where you can get probably 10 different pints for $3.50.

One of my absolute favorite places to visit while I'm in Cedar Park. When I still lived here, my family and I made our way every Tuesday, and to this day I still make my way over whenever I can. The wait staff is amazing and really know their stuff, and the Dig's selection is as good as, if not better, than many spots in Austin proper. The rotating draughts also keep things interesting, making it a different experience almost everytime you come. The food menu is limited, but solid, but the main draw here is the beer. Could not recommend it enough.

Stopped in and was VERY happy that I did. Solid tap list including a lot of the local Austin brews. GKnight was a nice surprise.
John the bartender made the stop worthwhile. He was on top of all his beers and his reviews were spot on. Mentioned he had Abyss but couldn't release due to a dinner in the near future. If you are in the area I recommend contacting about that dinner.
He then blew our minds with 2 different combo beers called frappucino and biscotti. They were both combos of 3 different beers on tap. I have had all 3 of the beers involved and they are average. When he combined them it created a truly excellent beer. Stop in if you are in the Cedar Park/Leander area.

Stopped in here 10 Sep 2011 around 1800 with A and R & A.
There was a fundraiser going on outside with a meh cover band. Was pretty crowded in the parking lot, moderately full inside. It was fairly loud inside the whole time, even though the noise from outdoors was well muted.
To the right as you walk in, there are 10-12 seats around the bar, about 6 or so 4 tops, and a nook for a couple of couches. There might be something to the left but it was taken up by a food station for the fundraiser.
Kind of a cheesy archeaological theme going on. Faux semi Mayan looking stone work over the bar. Other than that and some of the names of the sandwiches, not really anything archeaological about the place. Stained concrete floors. Wooden chairs and tables. Lots of large windows. A couple of TVs were showing the UT game.
At times we couldn't tell who exactly was a waitress and who was just a patron that vaguely looked like a waitress.
About 35 or so beers on tap, mostly well selected locals. Independence, (512), Live Oak, Austin Beerworks, Circle, Twisted X and Real Ale are all represented.
Our table got a pizza, the cheese plate, chips & salsa, and a salami & fontina sandwich. Food was ok, not bad but nothing special. Our chip bowl was empty and the salsa half full, our waitress removed it without asking if we wanted a refill. We were also served a couple of our beers in plastic red solo cups. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed their dishwasher ran out on them.
Overall I'd go back at a slower time for a beer but not to eat.
