The first offering of Icelands first microbrewery.

A - Clear golden with thick tight head that holds.

Sm - Grainy malt, slight metallic tang. Spicy saaz notes.

T - Comfy malt sweetness and caramel finishing in a comfy bitterness.

M - Medium body and crisp carbonation.

D - This is an all-round well made beer, albeit boring.

330 mL bottle received by way of Germany.

This lager poured a slightly hazy, yellow color with very tall, white foam. The smell was mildly malty with biscuity malt and some barley husks. A nice aroma overall, but with a hint of tanginess. The flavor was light with very mild hop bitterness. There was a touch of sourness; not sure if this is intentional, or if my bottle was slightly infected. There was a decent taste of aromatic hops in the finish. The body was light with good carbonation. Crisp and smooth. Aromatic hops and light sourness linger. This is an unusual beer if it is meant to taste this way.

Had on tap and in bottle in Iceland.

L: Pours a pale and mostly clear yellow, thick white head.

S: Malts/grains with fairly mild hops. Nothing unexpected for a lager.

T/F: Taste is a lager... pretty tame with biscuity malts and very mild hop bitterness at the end. Very light beer and nicely carbonated.

O: Nothing special or exciting here.... but if you're in Iceland your options are limited and this is a pretty easy drinking Lager.
