Hm, at least it's pure beer and can be used as a tonic to aid the heart. Pours with a nice, foamy, frothy, sudsy white head and some lace. Color is a clear light yellow with a big bubble trail. Aroma is skunk hop and ever so slight malt. Flavor is a shallow sweetness with a hint of bitter plus a bit of carbonic tang. Body is a little watery. Finish is like flavor with a lingering sweetness. My last one ever.

A: Pours a crystal clear pale yellow in color with moderate to heavy amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate pale golden yellow + straw yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall fizzy sudsy bright white head that reduces to a medium sized patch of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the majority of the remainder of the surface of the beer (95%+) and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grainy malts with a light amount of rice adjuncts and a touch of grainy sweetness. Light aromas of grassy hops and a hint of skunkiness. Hints of lager yeast.
T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of grainy malts with a light amount of rice adjuncts and a touch of grainy sweetness. That is followed by a light flavor of lager yeast. Finally there is a very light flavor of grassy + earthy hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which lingers slightly in the finish.
M: Light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp upfront with a clean finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol (though it is a very low ABV beer). Could be very refreshing on a really hot day but there is nothing about this beer that makes me want to grab it again.

I like everything about this beer; its taste, look, etc. Most of all, it is light in calories and very light in alcohol, in other words the perfect beer to look like you're enjoying yourself, without actually getting drunk or have a hangover the next day. It should therefore have a perfect score. But for me the deal-breaker and what takes the score all the way down is the new 440ml can. It used to come in a 330ml can, which was perfect. The new can size is not only bulky and ungainly, but the cans don't fit anywhere and the beer gets warm and stale by the time you get to the last few sips. This used to be my main beer, but now I avoid it, all because of the can size change. (I like beer in a can, not a bottle.)

Light gold. Smell the hops.very bitter. Best served ice cold, close to freezing. Watery. I only drink this beer when I am very thirsty.

One of the standard South African pub offerings -- my go-to for cheap light beer. Normal boring color, no head, light smell, but the taste is just beery enough while still having that watery refreshment that light beer has.
Your typical African lager.

330ml bottle 2,4% Abv.
Served chilled in a pint glass.
BB: May 2012
Appearance: Pretty standard pour - very light golden body, topped by a large white head that lasts pretty well, but leaves no lace.
Small: Not much of a nose, light pale grain and a little sweetness is about it.
Taste: As with the nose, the flavour is very mild, pale grain and a hint of stale hops is about it.
Mouthfeel: Light, watery and over-carbonated. Blegh
Overall: I guess that this is better than other light lagers I have had, but still not something I would ever choose to drink.

Yeeeesh! This beer is more like water with grain. Even USA light beers have 4% abv at least. This beer is way light. Poured a clear golden with good carbontation the gave a white head. The aroma was dominated by grain. The taste was similar to O'Douls....I am not kidding. Massive grain and water taste. This made the muthfeel very difficult. I believe Windhoek Light is Afrikans for near beer.

The aroma is sweet and malty with a cereal quality. There is also a hint of metal which I guess is the hops. The appearance is pale gold with a small, foamy head. The flavor is like the aroma with a slightly bitter finish. The palate is smooth. This is not a great beer but its outstanding for a low alcohol beer.

The colour is straw yellow; the low head is white.
The smell is malty and a bit sweet. Hints of anonymous bitterness.
Some malt in the taste. Rather sweet with hints of wort. Some dough in the aftertaste.
The carbonation is medium sweet; the liquid is somewhat smooth.
A fully acceptable low alcohol lager, although I prefer the hoppier Swedish ones.

Inoffensive and ultimately unappealing. The options in South Africa are a little limited and Windhoek Light falls somewhere between Windhoek Lager and the SABMiller line. It is fairly refreshing but virtually tasteless.
It poured very thin and clear with a fair head.
The taste is a fair approximation of Windhoek Lager but thinned, no ill-taste just not much taste at all.

Appearance: pale gold, moderate head, no lacing
Smell: almost nothing detectable.
Taste: watery! very mild, almost nothing to detect, but the usual suspects are here - very mild malt and hops.
Mouthfeel: watery, thin mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation, mild aftertaste.
Drinkability: nothing objectionable per se, especially considering it's a light lager. Not a good beer certainly, but still better than Miller Lite.

This was very close to drinking water, i had a really hard time picking up any flavour whatsoever. Very, very watery, very low ABV aswell (2%). It'd probably be really refreshing in the hot African sun blah, blah, blah. But interms of a good beer, nah.
