I've been to the Myrtle Beach location a few times, and it's always been solid, but not outstanding. The food is above average, and the happy hour is a good deal. The appetizers are discounted, and it's easy to make a dinner of them. The entrees are enjoyable as well. The restaurant is child friendly, so it's a good option if you're vacationing with the family.

The beers are all traditional and brewed to style. You won't find anything adventurous here, but they are all solid examples and enjoyable. They have a few regular offerings and usually have a seasonal style or two.

Gordon Biersch is located in Market Commons, not far from the Piggly Wiggly(best place to buy bottles).

Atmosphere in the restaurant is nice, dimmed lights provides for an intamite experience if your dining in.

Service has always been good for me, their servers actually have knowledge of their beers, which I was impressed with.

Selection is basically what is available from the brew pup. They keep around 5 beers at all times and have one seasonal.
I've had all of the regular beers and they are all pretty solid, nothing to blow you away but worth trying, I would suggest trying the beer flight. Also had a winter bock before that was pretty good.

Food is good, a little more upscale than Ruby Teusday or Applebee's. reminds me a bit of Cheesecake Factory menu, only more limited.

Overall this is a good place to eat and grab a beer, I recommend checking it out if you are in the area.

Located south of the airport in the same general area as the Pig. Makes for a good 2-for-1 beer run.

Ample seating in both the restaurant and bar. Good covered outdoor section when it's not too blazing hot. Good tv coverage when a game is on.

Food is as expected in a GB location. Our three meals were well prepared and well presented. Tuna sandwich was excellent and the garlic fries were gobbled up by my kids.

Service was a little slow, despite ample server coverage and a light crowd.

If you are in MB and wanting a decent craft beer in a restaurant setting, then this is a good stop.

This Gordon Biersch is located in an upscale shopping district it Myrtle Beach called The Market Common. The brewpub (and the shopping district) feel like they were built 5 minutes ago. Atmosphere is typical of a chain restaurant. Big brew tanks were visible through glass. The beers were good but not great. All were good attempts at the style. The service was okay. Waitress was a little aloof but the food came in a timely manner. They don't have a lot of choices - 5 regular brews plus a seasonal. The food was pretty good. I had a blackened mahi mahi sandwich. It was good. Everyone else enjoyed their food but were not blown away by it. Food prices were a little steep but I expected that in Myrtle Beach. The beer prices were very reasonable. Bottom line: If you're in the area and need lunch and beer...this place will work just fine.

Overall, this place was a pretty nice 21st birthday dinner choice. I had the sampler of all their beers (the schwarzbier and their marzen were probably my favorites), but there were only 7 of them, so that was the biggest downside. The food was good, not stellar, but pretty damn tasty. The service was the best part, I had a cute waitress who was very sociable, and the manager came over and talked beer for a minute with us. Although a bit pricey, the food was good and the beer was flowing, so it really wasn't all that bad. Give this place a try if you're in the area.

This is located in the Market Commons area by the airport. It is one of those new fangled residential-shopping districts that is supposed to allow residents to walk to shops. The area was a bit quite so I parked right in front of the place.

The place had a nice outdoor seating area, along with an outdoor bar area with garage doors as the opening. The inside bar area was clean and neat looking, able to absorb a large crowd. In the rear of the restaurant there was an open kitchen and plenty of dining space.

There were 6 beers on tap - Marzen, Czech Pilsner, Sommer Brau, Hefeweizen, Golden Export, and a Schwarzbier. The beers hit the spot as they were fresh and refreshing on a hot afternoon.

The food we had was good but not overly adventurous. Service was prompt and friendly. They also understood the beer offerings which was nice.

I know there are those that hate chains, but GB offers consistant quality beers and food at a reasonable price, especially at happy hour. We enjoyed our stops here on our vacation, and with the weak offerings in Myrtle Beach this place is worth hitting.
