Grassy and herbaceous, resinous and sightly citrus. Easy drinking and would gladly do so again

As a PA transplant originally from Syracuse, this beer is literally bought on my way back up there whenever I go...always 16 oz. cans at the Cortland P&C. That being said, the beer itself is pretty inconsistent...I've had cans that were really good, and others that I swore were defective somehow....I would say that my "baseline" experience with this IPA is that at its best, it's just OK. Narrowing it down, the aftertaste is pretty mediocre even recalling the best of these experiences. The hop balance is all right, always some orange/lemon/grapefruit citrus taste going on, the nose is more like a lager than an IPA, and for God sakes don't have one that's not ice cold. Oh well, they can't all be like Flight Level 410...

Poured into a pint glass from a 16oz tallboy can.
3.25 A: Murky copper amber color. Two fingers of frothy beige head. Retention is a touch below average and a short ring of lacing is left.
3.0 S: Hops are primarily grassy and earthy, but there's some piney and citrus in there as well. Overall though, the hops are underwhelming. Yeasty breadiness with some toastiness and a touch of caramel. Pretty average.
2.75 T: Hops are again underwhelming. Very mild bitterness and not a lot of flavor as well. What is there spans across grassy, earthy, piney, and nondescript citrus with no real focus. Lots of yeasty breadiness, but clean for the most part. Toastiness accompanies a light fruitiness with some peach and pear. The taste isn't bad. It's more an issue of comparing this to competing IPAs. This one doesn't measure up.
3.0 M: Medium body than comes off a bit watery. Good moderate carbonation. Lacking creaminess but overall good enough.
2.5 D: Again, it's a decent beer, but well below average, especially in the IPA world.

16oz can poured into a pint glass
A: Hazy, light brown with a one-finger head
S: Grassy with subtle citrus, pine and malt
T: As others have said, mostly grassy and sweet with a hint of citrus/pine but completely opposite of the order I typically enjoy in an IPA
M: Medium-bodied, a touch sweet, herbal
O: I did finish the glass as it is different and unique but not a beer I would seek out again. IMO would be better with more hop bitterness and less sweetness
